Very nice walk. Very varied. The guide organized and gave good explanations in the places visited. The weather was excellent. He recommended the tour.
We wanted to see the Founder’s house but were given limited information about the tour. After the first stop we learned it was one of 5 stops and we would only have 25 minutes at the Founder’s home. Also, at the first stop all discussion was 90% in Spanish. We decided to leave the tour and took a taxi to the Founder’s home and toured on our own. Would like a refund.
The itinerary was OK but to call this a Small Group tour is absolutely misleading. We were in a double decker bus!!!. We avoid larger group tours because everything takes longer and sure enough in this large group we had some very selfish people who thought it was OK to start a quad bike ride after everyone else was on the bus and ready to leave our last destination. We go back 50 minutes later than expected and as a result missed getting into a restaurant that we were planning to dine at.
This is a very economical half day tour of Arequipa. There was great communication from the organizer via WhatsApp. We were told what to pack and exactly what the cost of the extra admissions would be. We were met at our hotel on time and escorted to the bus pick up location which was a 2 block walk. The bus is double decker with a cover. We had reserved seats which is nice. There are 5 stops. In my opinion, the first 4 are worthwhile, especially the 3rd one, but the last one, which is supposed to be a museum (contains 2 artifacts) is not worth the 10 sols entrance fee unless you want your picture next to a 200 year old willow tree and want to see a very large fighting bull. The tour covers a lot of ground in a short time and does not stay in any one location for very long. The guide was really great. I benefitted from the English portion. The bus sound system is not so good so it can be difficult to hear the guide while the bus is moving. The guide goes with you into each of the locations to further explain what you ate seeing. The tour ends a few blocks from the Plaza de Armes so you are not brought back to the pickup.
Dear, customers: Thank you very much for your feedbacks about the tour. Thank you for visiting Arequipa and we are glad that you had a good time here. Best regards, Gloria
The Arequipeña countryside is an unmissable walk if you are in this blessed land, the Mansion of the founder is a must stop within this tour.
Estimado señor Muchas gracias por su comentario y gracias por visitar Arequipa. Saludos, Gloria Mamani

Its a rip off! You dont get what you booked. It clearly says small group but I was cramped with 20 plus more people in a open deck bus. The sites we visited are not the ones described on the tour. You can book the same tour cheaper directly at the Plaza de Armas.

Fun tour to the outskirts - giving you a different flavor of the city

They outsource the tour to Mirabus, where you are on a sightseeing bus with 20 other people. Hence it all takes a little longer than expected.

For those who have never been to Arequipa and also want to get a sense of its location in the countryside, this tour is very good, especially for the price. It does stop at several well-know locations for vistas or to sample a local drink specialty. However, the one stop that is at a church for 360 degree vistas entails a good set of stairs to climb so if your knees are not so good, like mine, you may not bother with this vista. But I really did enjoy going about the La Mansion del Fundador. This is a well-preserved historic hacienda related to the founding of Arequipa and has barrel-vaulted ceilings, lots of old artwork and especially for me some very nice gardens. In addition, I enjoyed simply the opportunity to get outside of Arequipa and see a bit of the countryside, with a guide if I wished to ask questions. They also drop you off at the main plaza, a good location for further activities or a meal. Unfortunately they said they were going to visit the Mill, but I don't think we did. However, well-worth the cost and time.

This tour gives you a feel for the area around Arequipa, and there are some great viewpoints. Our guide was very sweet, but did not seem to know much about the Mansion, which was a shame, as it is a beautiful place.
