Begin your scenic adventure with a comfortable, air-conditioned drive through the Costa Rican countryside. As you head toward La Fortuna (approx. 2 hours from San José), your guide will point out coffee plantations, sugar cane and citrus farms, roadside fruit stands, and charming rural towns along the way.
Once in La Fortuna, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of this emblematic town, known for its proximity to Arenal Volcano and vibrant cultural traditions. Discover the area's natural beauty, rich ecosystems, and learn about local customs and lifestyle from your guide.
Located in the northern lowlands, Arenal Volcano is one of Costa Rica’s most iconic landmarks. Although it has entered a calm phase, its striking presence and surrounding landscapes remain awe-inspiring. This area continues to draw visitors with its scenic vistas and biodiversity.
At Mistico Park, experience an unforgettable rainforest hike along trails that include 10 regular bridges and 6 hanging bridges. Enjoy up-close views of nature, wildlife, and even a 60-foot waterfall. With Arenal Volcano towering in the background, this walk is both educational and breathtaking.
Wrap up your day at the luxurious Baldi Hot Springs. Surrounded by tropical gardens and mountain views, unwind in natural thermal pools, a steam room, Jacuzzis, and enjoy fun features like water slides and swim-up bars. A delicious buffet lunch, towels, and lockers are included. You'll relax here until 4:00 PM before heading back to San José.

It was an amazing day with Josue. We thoroughly enjoyed the Mistico hanging bridges hike and the visit to Baldi Mineral Baths. It rained ALOT when we were eating our delightful buffet lunch at Baldi, which Jones’s pretty cool hearing the downpour on the bamboo roof and seeing the waterfall of rain drip from the outside rafters. The different spas/pools were a true experience and we never felt rushed or deprived for time or experiences. The private tour allowed us to set our priorities and decide on timing. We had the special luck of spotting two sloths and a toucan, thanks to Josue’s experience and keen eye. He was also an amazingly confident driver and got us safely home through another very heavy downpour at the end of the day in the nighttime hours. Be sure to wear good hiking boots or tennies, bring your raincoat/pancho and a ball cap to wear under the hood. Also swimsuit, sun protection (I wore a rash guard) water slippers and change of clothes for after the spa.

This was an amazing experience I would 1000000000% recommend the tour guides are soooo welcoming and knowledgeable and very kind people.Driving was amazing and very professional with tricky parts and made us all feel so safe.This company is great and I would highly recommend them and I will 1000000% be using them again when traveling to Costa Rica. We had 40 people and they were the most organized company ever and accommodate so good . Very thankful to Charlie and Jose and Mario who helped soooo muchh

We had the best time on this tour! It’s a long day, but well worth it. Giovanni and Fernando took great care of us. They made sure we got to experience Costa Rica not just through the stops mentioned on the tour, but made a couple of quick stops along the way (coffee, souvenirs, pineapple plants) and told us about Costa Rica history on our way to our destination. The views and greenery in the La Fortuna area are breathtaking, and we loved ending our adventure relaxing in the Bali Hot Springs. Thank you for a memorable day!!

Did you read the tour description? This is one of our best tours and you rate it this way. Includes the best hanging bridges nature walk in La Fortuna Arenal Volcano, Best views to the volcano from the lookout points, the best Hot springs with luxury facilities, excellent buffet lunch with many delicious options available, 100% private transportation, a professional naturalist tour guide. Honestly we do not agree with this review.
Luis from Greenway Tours was nothing short of exceptional! He arrived on time with snacks/waters on board & confirmed our tour plans via WhatsApp the day before. Super knowledgeable about the area, giving us different historical info about many areas of Costa Rica that only a local would know. Weather was near perfect with GREAT views of the Volcano from the bridges and Bladi Hot Springs was just what we needed after hiking through the jungle. The buffet lunch had fruit & pasta options so veggies have food options. If possible, bring your own towel; rental is $10USD for a Towel but they return it once you bring the towel back. I normally take small group tours for the pricing, but if you are a couple or have a small group, take this tour and ask for Luis. Be prepared for 6hrs of travel (3hrs each way) but I wasn't even bothered by the drive because Luis was so informative. Great job, Greenway Tours and Viator!
Gerardo was great! He was friendly, communicative, and provided door to door service. We were in CR celebrating my girlfriend's birthday. I was initially undecided about renting a vehicle. However, I am happy that I did not. The excursions were awesome and Gerardo helped take away potential stress. We were able to sit back, relax, and just have fun because he made us feel comfortable and safe. We definitely plan to book Gerardo for future travels to the country.
