Watch out, they steal the brand-name flip-flops you're wearing. Mind you, the signs already warn you about it beforehand. Even so, you trust them and end up with some that they provide at Primark customer service so you don't leave barefoot.
The park is very nice. It has many attractions and the children love them. We like to rent a VIP area where we can be more relaxed. The only downside is that the VIP area should be cleaner and on the weekend there is quite a line at the attractions.
I was there on Thursday, August 6th; after driving 200km, upon arriving we found the park closed at 12:00 PM (opening time), and they told us there was an electrical failure. And they left us waiting for 2 hours in the parking lot in the full sun with 35 degrees and a 20-month-old baby. Upon entering, endless lines formed as everyone went in at once. And the park disclaims responsibility, and they did not compensate us for those 2 hours lost in the full sun, during which we could not enjoy the park. And the tickets are certainly not cheap… And they didn't have a single gesture for the people. I think they are completely unprofessional. Since I paid the same amount to enjoy 8 hours of the park and in the end, between one thing and another, we only enjoyed 5 hours….
The slides were super good, but the Hulk one was a bit dangerous for children if you went down on your back. The fast pass seemed very expensive to us at 29€ per person and you can't use it on the new slide 10, and the sun lounger rental in the beach area at 12€ is also quite expensive. All in all, we spent about 200€ for 3 people; otherwise, it was quite good, and the food at the ura ura was great too.
I never write reviews of any kind, but I did want to for this one. We came yesterday and today. Already yesterday, I was very impressed by several of the lifeguards who work here; specifically, they are quite pleasant, but I wanted to highlight the work of two in particular: one who always wears a cap and has long, loose hair (yesterday morning he was at the rapid river (I think that was its name)) and another guy whose name we asked for and were told was Iker Trapero. Keep an eye on this guy!! Seriously, yesterday he was at the new attraction which had hour-and-a-half lines, and he was cheering us on by splashing water on us to cool us down, given the heat there was here. And today he is in the children's area. He lifts them up one by one in his arms to help put them in the floats. He encourages all the children to jump in. Nowadays it is very hard to find people who like their job and treat people the way he does. A child of about 2/3 years old got lost, he panicked, he picked him up in his arms to ask for help and did not let him go until his parents arrived (who took about 10 minutes). Congratulations to the park for the staff. Except for one security guard at the entrance, he has quite bad and terrible ways of asking people to open their bag/suitcase. And when calling someone out, he does it very rudely. Of the three that were there, it was only one. The other two treated people well.
The speedy pass wristband fails a lot and they refer you to customer service: you waste the same amount of time waiting in the speedy line, going to customer service, and going back to wait in the speedy line as you would if you didn't buy it. We had to go on three occasions. United and most importantly: for those people who have a disability due to autism (ASD), the disability card is not useful for acquiring the speedy pass. They must also bring supporting documents, such as the resolution, otherwise they will have to pay for it. A company certified like Aquopolis should know that waiting times greatly affect people with ASD and they do not make it easy for us.
A few friends and I went, and we had a pretty good time. The staff was very friendly; however, it must be mentioned that it is vital to get the speed pass, otherwise, the wait times are extraordinarily long, on holidays and in summer due to the overcrowding of people. VERY IMPORTANT TOO: there is an attraction whose slide is green and purple, it has a kind of funnel, BE CAREFUL with this attraction, to ride it you need a tube, and it is recurrent that when you reach the funnel part, you get stuck and have to "paddle" or use force to move forward. THIS IS DANGEROUS, because the staff does not control that after you go down and reach the end, the next person goes down, so an accident can happen due to a collision of tubes at that point. In other attractions, this is controlled. Finally, there is an attraction with 5 blue slides where each person goes down at the same time; it may be obvious, but KEEP YOUR LEGS CLOSED, otherwise when you hit the water you can hurt your private parts, since you go down very fast and against the current.
I have never seen a water park more dreadful, they rob you in four different ways. First, they do not allow you to bring food into the park, a way to ensure that if you come to stay all day, you also have to spend money. I came for a birthday, my daughter's, and the staff could not have been more unpleasant; they yelled at you and were disrespectful. The new attraction, the Kilauea, which is unique in Europe, is not at Siam Park, a park in Tenerife that is twice as good as Aquopolis Villanueva de la Cañada. It has the same attraction but is twice as intense and long. They close the Kilauea at 6:00 PM, when the park closes at 7:00 PM, and as an excuse, they say there are long lines, but you look and there isn't even a single line. They also tell you that they close it because the staff needs to rest. Well, I went at 12:00 PM, which is when the park opened, and I stayed until they closed it, and I was just as tired as the staff. In summary, I absolutely do not recommend it. If you want to do tourism or whatever, I do not recommend it at all.
