The Temple of Augustus and Rome is an augusteum located in the Altındağ district of Ankara. It is thought to have been built around 25–20 AD. Besides being one of the most important Roman-period ruins in the city, it is also known for the Monumentum Ancyranum. This is an inscription about the works of Augustus, who was considered the first Roman emperor. It is the most complete copy of Res Gestae Divi Augusti that has survived to the present day, as the original in Rome had disappeared.

The tour was good but the price did not include transportation between the sites. I had to pay extra which I think is not correct.
Mr Ertug was a wonderful guide, and this tour through Ankara was more than a pleasurable experience. He gave me all the historical facts about the places we visited, and he explained them so eloquently. I can't recommend it more; it was a fun and positive experience.
Excellent walk through ankara, with our guide, highly recommended this walk, through the mausoleum of ataturk and walk through the old city of ankara
We had a wonderful tour of Ankara with Ertuğ (Ankara Tour Guide). We learned so much about Atatürk during our visit to the mausoleum, and even when there was a small schedule change due to visiting dignitaries, he handled everything with flexibility and professionalism. He answered all of our questions about ancient history, recent events, and current affairs in Turkey, and we truly came away with a much deeper understanding. We also loved visiting the old town, seeing the city walls and a 16th-century mosque still in use, and he even helped us bargain at a local nut shop. Overall, an excellent experience — highly recommended!
The tour was very informative and I learned a lot about the city of Ankara and the country. Highly recommend this - the guide was fantastic!
Kutlukan was an excellent guide and became a friend. He was very accommodating, and very knowledgeable about the history of this entire area from ancient times to modern times
The guide was very friendly, kind and knowledgeable about his job. It was a very nice experience.
My guide Ozgur was amazing. He showed me what I wanted to see and more. He spent a lot of extra time with me explaining and showing me around. It was definitely worth it.
I booked a walking tour to see the real city, not the tourist places. Samaher provided a terrific tour of the castle across from my hotel. Then we walked downhill through old town Ankara to the Metro and took a train into the center of Ankara to see the modern city. She was very knowledgeable and simply wonderful!
Han did a good job of showing us Ankara. He adapted when he realized what he had planned was included on our Road Scholar tour. We enjoyed his youthful approach to his city .
