Explore Baphuon Temple, a grand 11th-century pyramid temple in Angkor Thom. This temple is known for its steep terraces and impressive stone causeway. Baphuon Temple offers beautiful views from the upper levels and displays intricate carvings, including a large reclining Buddha on its western side.
You will then visit Preah Palilay Temple, located in the Angkor Thom complex. A peaceful temple set within a quiet forest, Preah Palilay features a mix of Hindu and Buddhist influences, with a tall central tower and beautifully carved pedestals surrounded by towering trees.
Visit the Terrace of Elephants, one of Angkor Thom's most iconic landmarks. The Terrace of Elephants features long elephant bas-reliefs and was once used by Khmer kings as a grand viewing platform for royal ceremonies and military parades.
Pass by the Terrace of the Leaper King, which sits near the Terrace of Elephants. This intricately carved terrace showcases deep reliefs of gods, demons, and mythical creatures.
This is for the total journey from the pickup (City Center) to the tour at the temple complex. The journey takes roughly 30minutes each way. The total of two ways is 1 hour.

I took a half-day tour of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom with Southeast Asia Journeys, and it was an incredible trip for me as a solo traveler. My tour guide Saravy, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The transportation exceeded my expectations - the van was nice and clean. My driver Vuth, was also very friendly and always provided cold water and a cool towel after each stop. This was very relaxing after the hot weather during the tour.
