Fradulent Tour. - Information gives perception of private tour but in the end, it is just normal group tour with TWICE the normal cost. Also, does not refund. DO NOT CHOOSE, much better alternative options in Chiang Rai!
Good afternoon we are sorry to know about his if this is booked for private tours and you have taken join tours, you will get full refund, please contact us, regards amit
We booked this as a private tour to see the border, ancient city, and royal villa. Our guide was about 45+ mins late because he was waiting for another guest at a different hotel. Turns out the agency tired to make it a group tour without our knowledge (for a private tour cost). Once we finally got going we only managed to see the Royal villa and then a brief stop at the Golden triangle. Our guide totally skipped Mai Sai and Chiang Sean, plus the Buddha temple near the Royal Villa. While the guide was nice and knowledgeable, we would have been better off paying for a driver to those places since the Royal Villa uses headphones.
What a great way to see these sights! Bankis a gracious, friendly and knowledgeable guide. He made me feel like he was experiencing everything right along with me. So nice to have as a solo traveler.
The visit to the Summer Villa was very special in learning more about Thai history and culture. My tour guide was very knowledgeable and taught me much about the region's history and the special place the summer palace had for the Queen. Visits to local markets was also very interesting and learning more about the geography with the Golden Triangle proved educational, too. Even learned some Thai words and phrases from my very patient tour host. A day well spent.
Our tour guide was amazing! So knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot about the history of the area and the culture! We had some great pictures too! Would highly recommend to everyone!
Full day tour by private car. Our guide Gap spoke good English and provided informed insight at all places we visited. The day was quite busy but the weather cooperated and we enjoyed all stops. These included wonderful gardens around Doi Tung royal villa, breathtaking views in the mountains where a tasty lunch was served, far flung outposts at the Thai-Myanmar border, shopping at border town of Mae Sai (border crossing is closed), Golden Triangle viewpoint with adjacent opium museum and ancient temples at Chiang Saen. We even had time for watching the sunset at Chiang Saen Lake and a brief visit to one of the local night markets back in Chiang Rai. I would highly recommend this tour.
