In this Half day city tour of Amritsar, we start our tour with visiting the Golden Temple in morning. You will be explained with all the history of that place and a back stage access to the world's largest kitchen where the prepare meal for 100000 peoples a day.
We will walk through the various parts inside the Golden Temple.
We will explain the significance of the sacred building Akal Takth-Sahib the resting place of the holy book.
While walking in the temple complex, You will also get to know more about the revered tree.
Walk through the historic octagon shape 9 story building.
Visit the sombre site of the notorious massacre of Indians under British rule at the Jallianwala Bagh gardens and the memorial that commemorates the political uprising of 1919. Hear the tragic story of lives lost and visit the memorial that preserves the portion of the wall with pellet marks along with the well into which hundreds desperately jumped to avoid the bullets.
Visit to this museum will take you back into the time of 1947, when India got Independence & divided into two countries. The biggest genocide ever happened in the world. The museum has a detailed history, real audio-videos about partition. Walking inside this museum will give you goosebumps & tears in your eyes.

Rishi, our guide, really was the best guide ever. He was absolutely charming, exceedingly knowledgable and brought the whole history of Amritsar, the Golden Temple and the Partition to life. We particularly enjoyed the private tour of the kitchens at the Golden Temple and learning how it is run entirely by volunteers feeding a minimum of 20,000 people a day. Fantastic tour!

WOW! What an amazing day Our guide Aman took us to the Golden Temple at sunrise and it was breathtaking. As soon as the sun started to rise the Golden Temple began to light up in full esplendor. It was such a view to my sleepy eyes. Plus the Temple is surrounded by water so the reflection makes it look even more larger than life. This place is full of charm and overall I felt so peaceful visiting this temple. After the visit we headed for breakfast. One must try the Amritsari parathas (yum!) with some hot tea.
