We were surprised and pleased to find the PADL facility at Talbot Island to be a full service facility rather than a self service. Webb, the gentleman that manages facility was extremely helpful and efficient in getting us on the water in short order. If you’re in area this is a must do. The salt marsh is beautiful and peaceful.
Had a great time! Webb was super helpful and informative!! Thanks for a fun day!
Amazing time! Highly recommend! 2 hours definitely worth the price! Buddy was an incredible guide; knowledgeable, friendly, funny. Webb was very helpful and made arriving very welcoming. We will absolutely suggest it to others and will go again next time we’re in the area!
We had a wonderful time with our guide Webb. We did a double 2 hour tour. Webb had great information about the area and we learned so much! It was so RELAXING!! We will be back!! There’s also a lovely lady ( I forgot her name) who also works there and we enjoyed hearing how her and her husband (from the Bronx) are there! Thank you all so much. We loved it!
We had a wonderful time beautiful scenic kayak experience
We all enjoyed our experience! Our guide,Buddy , was wonderful … he gave us some very simple and easy to follow instructions on how to paddle and was very knowledgeable explaining to us what we were seeing as we paddle through the marsh. The pace of the kayaking was perfect for those of us who were beginners. I felt safe and thoroughly would go back and do it again. They have a moonlight paddle when the moon is full. I would love to experience that! It sounds amazing.
Buddy at PADL is helpful, knowledgeable about the area, and friendly! We brought our own kayaks and Buddy helped with our route & timing the tides. Great experience! Go see Buddy at PADL Amelia!
Buddy took a special care that our activity matched some limitations of 80-year-old men and 70-year-old woman/couple and we totally enjoyed the experience. And we learned a multitude of details, all quite interesting, regarding the flora and fauna of the area. All with a smile and humor.
The person who got us onto the kayaks was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming and seemed to love his job. The life jackets were clean and the kayaks were in good condition as well as the facility. It was a beautiful location.
This PADL location is a MUST GO and experience. ABSOLUTELY beautiful and right here in Jacksonville, FL!!! Not only do you paddle through some of the most scenic parts of northeast Florida, but you can also visit 4 state parks all within a day. The team at Amelia Salt Marsh are incredibly experienced and knowledgeable of the area, the environment, the history, and everything you'll, smell and touch. The level of experience is second to none. So, if you're a beginner or expert you will thoroughly enjoy this experience. Buddy and his team Stuart and Ryan are incredible human beings! They hosted a group of 20 for us, many for the first time paddling a kayak. They made the experience welcoming, relaxed, informative and everyone was able to reach outside their comfort zones and thoroughly enjoy a day paddling!! Thank you for all you guys do!!!
