Paseo de Doña Blanca, also known as El Pasaje de Doña Blanca, is a charming pink alley located in the heart of Puerto Plata. The alley is a tribute to the founder of the city's first hotel, Hotel Europa. The history of this alley dates back to 1898 when Isidoro Rainieri and Bianca Franceschini, both from Italy, established the Hospedaje del Comercio, which later became the Hotel Europa. This resin can hold prehistoric fossils of plants and little animals on its inside due to its sticky nature, that turns this stone in subject of study. It is said that Steven Spielberg was inspired by this museum when he was working on his famous film Jurassic Park.
