The Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex was built in 1967 in memory of the victims of the first genocide in the modern history of mankind, arranged by the Turks in 1915. The memorial complex consists of a 44-meter Stela, a cone of 12 plates, a 100-meter wall of mourning and the Museum. At the Memorial entrance there is also a garden with trees planted by leaders of different countries. The memorial is surrounded by a huge territory, where every year, on April 24, million Armenian people from Armenia and the diaspora rise to honor the memory of the victims.
Victory Park began to be built from 1924, when it bore the name Arabkir Park, and after the World War Two it was renamed as Victory Park. There is also a magnificent statue of Mother Armenia, erected in 1967, before that, there was a monument of Stalin until 1962. The tomb of the unknown soldier and the eternal flame were built in 1970. From the park opens an amazing landscape of Yerevan and Mount Ararat, from where you will have a great opportunity to make amazing memory pictures.
The next point of our interesting excursion is the famous and majestic Cascade Monument. The construction project was laid back in 1924, by the legendary architector A. Tamanyan. According to his plan, the monument was to connect the north of the city with the center for walking citizens. Work began in the 80s, but lasted for several years and was suspended due to the fall of the USSR and the Karabakh war. The work was reorganized again in 2002, by an American philanthropist of Armenian descent Gerard Gefeschyan, who bought the project and started the work. Since 2009, there is operating the Museum of Art, named after Gefeschyan.
The Republic Square began to be built in 1924 by the most famous architector of Armenia, Alexander Tamanyan, and was completed until 1977 (although most of the buildings were built in 1950). An area of 30,000 square meters of white and pink tuff is the main attraction and the heart of modern Yerevan. The project consists of five buildings: Government House, Main Post Office, Marriott Hotel, the former Foreign Ministry building and the Museum of History and the Art Gallery. And in the center are the famous singing fountains that turn on in the evening.

My guide, Gregory Deroyan was an excellent guide with a lot of knowledge that he was keen on sharing with me. He was very well organized , very punctual (which is highly appreciated) . Gregory made the outmost to make my trip to Armenia one with a good fingerprint and experience. He also helped to arrange great restaurants and anything else I wanted. I can highly recommend Gregory as anyone’s guide when visiting Armenia.
George the tour guide/driver was on time, a very knowledgeable and friendly person. Starting on time, that was a good beginning. The tour was very interesting, so many historical facts for beautiful places. It was a thoroughly enjoyable tour, very inforrmative, a lot of fun! I love Yerevan and will return for more tours next time.
Enjoyed our tour and found our guide, Gregory, to be entertaining, informative and helpful in all respects. Air conditioned Mercedes mini-van was particularly appreciated on a hot day. Would recommend this company.
What a great way to see the city! Guide was very knowledgable and allowed time to see everything. Very happy with this tour!
Older than Rome, young and colorful in spirit, hospitable as nowhere else - you always feel home in this warm city! People, culture, cuisine, history, and everything else is attractive in Yerevan. You always want to come back, it penetrates your heart ❤️
