There are several routes for hiking with different levels of difficulties in our Ile-Alatau mountains - range of the Tien Shan Here are some popular, easy and middle level for full-day and half-dayt rekking. It's on of the beatiful gorge in the Almaty mountains. The trekking path is easy. You can choose any place in this list
On of the most beatiful rout for hiking. The plateu is the place for spending a summer for nomads, sheppards. You will see horses, cows enjoying dense grass in the mountains area. Middle level of difficulties. 7km one way
The waterfall is not as big as others in our region but it very expressive. It looks like еhin patterned curtain on the slope behind which you can stay and enjoy cold and fresh air. A long hiking routh. Full day
Almaty lake if one of the most popuar and beatiful place in Almaty. Often permormed as a landmark of Kazakhstan. Full day treking, 8km one side way. Ascending the hill at the altitude of 2500m

We will pick you up from your Almaty hotel in the center and return you to your hotel after the tour. If your hotel is not located in the city center, an additional fee of $15-$25 will apply. Alternatively, you can meet our guide at a designated location in the city center

The Almaty hiking tour was amazing, and Ote is an incredible guide. He does a great job catering the tour to your interest and ability level. The hike itself was challenging and very rewarding. Although we didn’t make it to the alpine lake, we enjoyed the views along the way. Weather in the Almaty mountains can be a bit unpredictable, so be prepared for rainstorms/hailstorms. Ote was incredibly supportive and ensured that we got down the mountain safely despite the inclement weather. This tour is a great way to see some of Almaty’s natural beauty, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

This was a great tour. Erlan was a brilliant guide, who tailors hikes based on people’s ability. I would definitely recommend!
I was travelling with my parents (60+) . Although the hiking trip mentions 4 places on the list (of which you can choose one) , they can customize the trip for you, based on your group’s overall fitness level. Gulzat was the manager who reached out a day before enquiring about the above . I’d requested for some hiking sticks for my parents which she sent promptly the next day . Our guide for the day was Yelnur. A young lad who speaks Kazakh, Russian, English and French. Yelnur was a great guide to have , as he was patient, communicates well in English, engaged in good conversation and was very considerate and helpful toward my father. Yelnur would hold his hand , if required to support him where my father needed the help.
I expect sunny weather in the day I visit Alma Arasan but unfortunately It's rainy and foggy. But it is quite good when I can have chance to be close to nature without many tourists. The trekking route to Alma Arasan is the easiest and shortest one among other trekking routes, quite suitable for one who's new to trekking activities like me. The tourguide is really helpful and informative.
