The Roman Theatre of Carthage is a restored ancient Roman theatre complex in Tunis which is now used to host a range of events. Originally built during the time of Roman control of Carthage, the theatre is believed to have been destroyed during the Vandal invasions of the 5th century AD. Originally able to seat at least 5,000 spectators, the Roman theatre of Carthage would have been a central meeting place in the ancient city.

We met Ahmed at the site of the Antonine Baths. Kind, knowledgeable, he loves history and conveys it with passion. Thank you!
The tour was excellent. Ahmed - our guide - was a fountain of knowledge. He has a deep understanding of history (not just Carthage/Rome) and combined it with a genuine passion for the subject matter. It was also good to have transport handy, as the sweltering heat made walking between sites somewhat impossible.
The Carthage National Museum is one of the most important cultural and historical sites in Tunisia. Located in the archaeological zone of Carthage, facing the Mediterranean Sea, the museum houses a valuable collection of archaeological objects tracing the history of the various civilizations that marked Carthage, from the Punic period to the Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic periods. Visitors can discover statues, mosaics, inscriptions, ancient objects, and rare pieces showcasing the grandeur of Carthage, once one of the most powerful cities of the ancient world. The site also offers magnificent views of the sea and the surrounding ruins, making the visit an experience that combines history, culture, and natural beauty. This museum is a must-visit for enthusiasts of civilization and Tunisian heritage.
We spent 2 full days with Ahmed learning about the history and archeology of the Tunis, Cartage and Sidi Bou Said area. We all enjoyed the time spent with Ahmed and his descriptions. We fully recommend his services.
Perfect visit with full details I advise
We did the Carthage tour with e-bikes that Ahmed kindly sourced for us. He was very kind and patient and knowledgable about the history of the empires and religions.
Ahmed is amazing!!! We did a two hour private tour of Carthage and absolutely loved it. He was so friendly and knowledgeable and took us off the beaten track. Ahmed made it incredibly easy too, considering the site is so large - we jumped in taxis to get between the baths, the port and other sites. Highly recommend booking Ahmed for your tour!
Ahmed is a top class tour guide with so much knowledge. I have been on many tours and this was a pleasure to be with a guide who is patient and loves questions to elevate the experience. 5 stars all day!
Ahmet is very intelligent and knows the history of Carthage inside out. We also had the opportunity to ask him many questions.
Ahmad was an outstanding and truly professional tour guide. He was precise, organized, polite, and intelligent, with extensive knowledge about the history of Tunisia. He wasn’t just able to comment on the tourist sites—he could interpret them and give us a really valuable perspective. Ahmad was extremely patient, kind-tempered, and always had a smile on his face. I wish him all the success.
