Tour Options
Itinerary
After picking up the passengers from their central hotels from 7 am, we will head in a comfortable bus to the Port of Punta Bandera, located 47 km from El Calafate. For those who select the non-transfer option, we will meet at the Port of Punta Bandera at 8:30 am to start sailing.
Once all passengers are on board, sailing begins on the North Arm of Lake Argentina at 9 am. We crossed the Devil’s Mouth to the Uppsala Canal, sailing between huge floes detached from the front of the Uppsala Glacier. As you enter the Spegazzini Canal, you will enjoy a panoramic view of various glaciers, with the opportunity to take pictures at designated stops to observe the imposing ice blocks.
Throughout the tour, passengers will have the opportunity to view several of the numerous glaciers found in Lago Argentino, including the Seco Glacier, the Spegazzini Glacier, the South Heim Glacier, and the Peineta Glacier. During navigation, you can admire the ice blocks from various angles, which will allow you to capture the best photographs.
We will disembark at La Base Spegazzini to trek through the 300-meter path through the forest to the Spegazzini Refuge. It is accessible and does not represent complexity since it is done on firm ground. Posting will be done at different stations (Glaciology - History - Fauna and Flora) with viewpoints overlooking the entire Bay of Glaciers. Once in the Refuge you can enjoy the gastronomy, the shop and an incredible panoramic view from its rooms and from the outside (Deck & Terrace). Another possibility is to take the mountain trail, of medium difficulty through a wooded path, with natural viewpoints, full of incredible views that ends at the landing point.
Once back on board the boat, we will continue with the second part of the navigation until reaching Punta Bandera, where it is expected to arrive around 4 pm. Later, for those who have selected the option with transfer, the return to El Calafate will be scheduled for approximately 5 pm.

It was a wonderful experience, all the staff very friendly and helpful. The very safe catamaran and the exceptional glacier visit
Great boat trip. We loved the Glaciers and the lunch venue. We booked on Vaitor and there was a big mess up somewhere between Viator and the tour company. We were told 830am pick up at our hotel. We received a call at 7:30 AM to ask why we were not ready for pick up. We caught a taxi to the jetty which cost us US$60. The tour company confirmed they would refund us and after requesting a refund, they denied the refund on the basis that there was a confusion over the ticket, even though we received two reminders to pick up at the hotel at 8:30 AM. My advice is that you take great care when confirming whether you are booking a transfer or no transfer and what your subsequent pick up time is.
It was exceptional and well organised. Everything went to plan and was on time from pick up to drop off.
We were picked up by a combi from the hotel, very friendly. They took us several km to where we boarded a boat, a sublime experience, the front of the glacier is something indescribable for the extraordinary, the very good explanations, when you return they wait for you and leave you in the afternoon night at the hotel. Highly recommended. Don't stop doing it.
A wonderful experience. Unique views of the glaciers. The guides were excellent. The haven where lunch is made, beautiful and with amazing views.
Boat trip where you can see the glaciers in the distance, but it is like seeing them on the walkways and it is free... I prefer the excursion where you will touch the glacier with the blue safari. Besides, I was queuing up to be stamped on migrations and he came after us a group with a guide, and they got ahead of us to board earlier and stay in the best places, a lack of respect... they treat you like cattle... besides you complain and justify themselves... they are a lot of scumbags.
They really charged me a fortune to see a Floe near and glaciers one at 500 and the other at 2000 meters Attention to charge admission to the park UNA VERGÜENZA ENDLESS QUEUES AND SCREAMING LIKE WE'RE LIVESTOCK NEVER AGAIN DID THIS PLACE
Excellent service from only Patagonia offering a complete package of boat transportation, Guides and gastronomy. The Spegazzini refuge is worth seeing.
cruise of about 6 hours, very well organized part on foot (restaurant, toilets, etc.) stops with explanations to do if you are in El Calafqte correct price for the service
Amazing tour! Beautiful navigation across the lake, passing by the Upsala Glacier and the Spegazzini Glacier. On the way we can see icebergs that have broken off and the images are surreal! Pay extra to stay on the top deck! It is worth it! The place where we stopped for lunch also has a wonderful view!
