The tour goes around some of the historic sights in Cholula and Puebla. The guide was great, full of information. The transport from CDMX was comfortable and smooth and a lunch stop was provided
Puebla is an amazing city and definitely deserves more than just a day trip, but if you are short on time, this was an excellent tour than gave plenty of time to at least see the major highlights. Ruben was a superb guide, very knowledgeable and informative, and bounced back and forth easily from Spanish to English for our bilingual group. The buffet lunch in Puebla was very good, and there was plenty of time for you to eat elsewhere on your own if you'd prefer. The stops in Cholula along the way were also very interesting and beautiful. We were lucky to have clear weather for seeing the volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztaccíhuatl - and amazing sight. And Moises was a great driver as well! Highly recommended, particularly for the inexpensive price.
Be sure you know the pick up time from your hotel. If you are late, even if it’s not your fault, they are not going to wait. You will have to find your own ride to the next meeting point.
Initial communication was fine. On day of pick up I was told to be ready by 8:05 am. No one showed up. I finally called and was told that there was a delay. I was finally picked up at 9:35 by an Uber driver who did not park at the hotel. He parked across the street and waited. I happened to notice the color and license plate and walked over. After speaking to a busload of people, most of us were picked up late. This is a tour company who has been in business for a while, they can do better. No one was advised that their pick up will be late. I know they were busy but they need to be more organized. While I was waiting in the cold, I didn't know if I was forgotten until I called. I also had no time for breakfast. We arrived after 1 pm in Cholula and then everything was rushed for the rest of the day. Lunch at 4 pm. We spent less time in Puebla and was ready to leave by 6 pm. Very disappointing day due to the late start. Everyone was very hungry by the time we had lunch at 4. There was also an issue with translation. At our first venue in Cholula, the guide only spoke Spanish so no translation in English. The other guide who spoke English had something else to do. I don't under why they did not switch. I only tip the driver. This is the first time I did not tip the guides. Cholula and Puebla are beautiful and I wish we had more time walk around.
Great tour , Puebla and Cholula have so much history and our guide and driver were super friendly and knowledgeable of the area and they also work as a team to find the fastest routes
Francisco is such a professional tour guide. He's dressed well, came on time, very knowledgeable and courteous. Had a wonderful time with friends. Excellent service! Our driver drove us safely.
The tour consists of visiting four churches showing their unique architectures and opulences. Our guide is knowledgeable but no time to fact check, LOL. Would have been nice if the guide would have given a little more info what’s coming up next.
We booked the Cholula/Puebla day trip from Mexico City and were picked up from our hotel on time. Our guide, Francisco, was very knowledgeable about the places we were visiting, and also about the ancient and recent history of Mexico. He was also very flexible to our itinerary preferences. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour!
It is an interesting trip but could be couple of hours shorter, making the return journey longer by hitting evening traffic time. Free time spent after lunch should be just 1/2 hrs max.
A very uncomfortable bus that was cramped, especially for a 3 hour ride each way! Not recommended. I'd keep shooping for someone else.
