Alexandria Full Day Tour

Karim was an amazing tour guide. He planned the day perfectly, we went to the open air spots earlier so the heat wouldn't get to overwhelming. When the day started getting warmer we went to the inside spots with aircon. He took special care so I had all the time I needed at every spot, and awnsered all my questions. He was the perfect guide.

Karim was very enthusiastic, friendly and informative. He picked us up on time and kept to our schedule seeing all the sites promised. It was even more enjoyable as he seemed to know everyone in Ciaro and being with him meant no queuing for entry. His English is excellent so communication was easy. I would highly recommend him as your guide in Alexandria.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour with our guide Rasha and driver Heny!!!! They were punctual picking us up at our hotel at 9am. We were returned at 3pm. Rasha spoke English very clearly. She was very knowledgeable about the history and sites in Alexandria. She listened to what we wanted to do and answered all of our questions. We did not get dropped off at a shopping district and did not feel rushed while visiting the sites. The Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays so we visited the Jewelry Museum instead. Henry was a good and friendly driver. It was an informative tour and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Rasha and Henry!!

I had the most amazing time on our tour with Rasha. She was very kind, well spoken, and knowledgeable. Rasha answered our many many many questions - both about the sites and about Egyptian culture and practices. She allowed us to have opinions on sites to stop at and areas to prioritize. She made sure we were comfortable at all times! I loved Rasha’s insights on the sites and the details! Pickup and drop off were smooth, logistics were excellent. We had a comfortable time in the car with Hany and Rasha - there was no waiting for pickup between sites! I would recommend this tour to any and everyone - it is exactly what you need to see and appreciate Alexandria!

I had a great time touring around Alexandria. My guide was Karim and he was super attentive,knowledgeable, and flexible. He provided details at each destination while also allowing some solo exploring time. Despite the library being closed (on Fridays and Saturdays, which the company communicated ahead of time), we were still able to find things to explore and do. The communication was spot on and very clear and professional. I had a great tour.

We had a great day with Kareem. When I booked the tour, I didn't know Kareem was such a celebrity! He even had a page mentioned in the Lonely Planet guide! He knows absolutely everybody in town. He was extremely knowledgeable. The trip was very well organized, hitting all the highlights of Alexandria and summarized well at our last stop of the citadel (the spot of the old lighthouse.) He was very polite and courteous. We learned a lot about everyday culture and customs in Alexandria.

Had an incredible day with Rasha and our very nice driver! She was an outstanding guide who made sure we got all the interesting historical information, while also contextualizing the history within the modern day. And the sights were all fascinating—one would be remiss not to get to Alexandria and experience its beauty during a trip to Egypt. Among other things, we had the opportunity to see the Library of Alexandria, catacombs, Pompey’s Pillar and the surrounding area, as well as Qaitaby Fort. We had time to wander and explore, never feeling rushed. Don’t hesitate to book: it will be a time well-spent with Rasha. Thank you for a great day!

We were contacted by Tour Egypt before our tour to confirm the pick up details and introduce our guide, Karim. Karim was fabulous - he set out the itinerary and made each step of the tour interesting with facts and stories. The tour allowed us to experience many different sides of Alexandria which we would otherwise have missed, and in excellent company. Tour length was perfect and Karim’s timings meant that we avoided the crowds on a busy Easter period. Admission fees were payable at each building, but they all accepted cards and Karim advised on what tickets were needed. Best for: travellers looking to see different parts of a fascinating city which has a long and varied history, with a super guide. 😁

My wife and I had not previously been to Alexandria and we wanted to see the sights and get an overview of the city. This tour was perfectly suited to that purpose and the guide, Karim, was stellar. He got us around efficiently and somehow avoided the crowds. He seemed to know everyone and we never waited in line. He was fun, attentive, well educated, and spoke great English.
