Pompay’s Pillar, (it was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century)
visit the church of St. Mark – The Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria, an Oriental Orthodox church, known as Saint Mark Church. Based in Egypt, Northeast Africa and the Middle East. The head of the Church is the Patriarch of Alexandria on the Holy See of Saint Mark, who also carries the title of Coptic Pope. According to its tradition, the Coptic Church was established by Saint Mark, an apostle and evangelist, in the middle of the 1st century (approximately AD 42).
the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit its open court where you can see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater nearby. You will visit the library famous Manuscripts Museum, president Saddat Museum and impressions of Alexandria Museum. Note: Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays and on every public holiday. To enter the reading area you will need to buy a ticket.
the main square of mosques in the city: The Abbo Elabbas Mosque and see old carnivals where children play on very antique funfair rides and eat candy floss.
Qaitbay castle which was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the seven wonders of ancient world.
the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock

What an amazing trip from start to finish. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate, which made the entire experience even more meaningful. This was truly a one of a kind experience. Most tours and tour guides feel as if they are rushed and overwhelming. But this felt like meeting up with a distant friend to show you all of their favorite places and history of their city and culture. This tour felt like a trip among friends instead of strangers making it more memorable and meaningful. Learn a tremendous amount about the history of Alexandria with also the food recommendations was great as well to make you feel more engulfed within the culture. Would recommend to anybody traveling to Egypt.

We were meet at Port by Sayed & Driver, guided easily through Alexandria to all the sites we wished to go. Catacombs , Pompey Pillar, lunch, Library & Qaitbay. All with easy, explanation & questions answered. Sayed was extremely knowledgeable on all these area along with other questions asked about life in Alexandria & surroundings. Words cannot begin to describe the exceptional value of this tour with WOW. The experience was awesome. The day before Sayed attempted to alert us in person of new developments in Alexandria. Unfortunately we were not at the hotel and were briefed by him over the phone. He went above and beyond to assure us of our safety and explained what alternate options would be available. The next morning our driver Ana Osama (not just a driver but best chauffer ever) and Mostafa Salah Ali our tour guide (egyptologist extraordinaire). The drive to Alexandria might have been over 2 hours long but, Mostafa thru his great personality and exceptional English, shared his cultural knowledge and history making the drive fly by. We visited the Catacombs, Amphitheater, Bibliotheca, Fort Qaitbay and drove past Pompey's Pillar (area restricted due to prior incident). We were treated to an excellent seafood lunch on the waterfront. Mostafa with his wonderful personality was very enthusiastic and made sure we enjoyed our day in Alexandria . Did I mention he also doubles as a prof. photographer! In fact, he was such a great, outstanding escort, we arranged to spend the next day with him continuing our Egyptian adventure.
