Albufeira: Sunset Food Tasting

Good information. Nice trip. Good music. Good food.

The journey to the island takes about 1.5 hours by boat, and it's worth noting that drinks onboard are not included—so the advertised "6 hours of unlimited food and drink" isn't entirely accurate. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing and footwear, as you'll need to transfer from the main boat to a smaller one to reach the island, which involves stepping into shallow water and getting your feet wet. The food options were disappointing for vegetarians. My daughter was offered a veggie burger alongside grilled aubergine, mushroom, and courgette. This didn’t feel like an "all-you-can-eat" experience, as she was only given this with no option of extras. Actual time spent relaxing on the beach was around two hours; the rest of the excursion was taken up by travel to and from the island.

I booked the Albufeira: Sunset Cruise and Beach BBQ with Open Bar for myself, and 6 of my friends.   We were over on a golf holiday and on our last night wanted to enjoy what we thought would be an amazing experience. We spent 40 euro in a taxi from our hotel to get to the marina purely for this trip. We were not intoxicated, not a party group, and as the youngest of our group is 28 years old (group range from 28-38), none of us were unaccompanied minors. I received a message from AlgarExperience asking what the purpose of our trip was, and for the names of our group as we were over a group of 5. I responded to this message with the information asked for. When we arrived, I went up to the desk to present our tickets, and was immediately refused simply because we were a group of 7. We weren't given any good reason for this, and were simply told we were not being approved to go on the boat. This was incredibly upsetting and infuriating. We obliged by every rule and requirement and were still not allowed to enjoy this activity. If you're a group of men, forget it they'll refuse you at the door for no real reason and will be very rude about it too.

Very disappointed in this trip, this is the most I was looking forward to my whole stay, when booking the trip we never got told we needed passport or driving license proof of id , we was lucky even getting on because they said you needed it , which we left at hotel in safe but when looking at the ticket right at the bottom in small print it does say you needed but we never got told when booking. That’s where it all started!! We was about half way out on sea when they said we won’t be able to go on the beach due to weather and having it on the boat instead, which was alright not great because the whole reason why we booked it for the beach and entertainment but can help when nature calls but with having said that! They docked us right in front of the beach where it was all set up , the sea was sooo rough!!! They knew it was bad so don’t understand why the dock it there. I have never seen so many people ill and being sick!! , the boat just kept spinning around and around and in the end I just wanted to get off!, they open bar was open for like felt two seconds that was a waste! If you wanted a drink when boat was moving which was most of the time because we couldn’t go on the beach you had to pay!!! But was card only!! Lucky my partner had his because I only had cash!! , was hard to eat on the boat because wasn’t big enough for everyone to sit and eat , they cut the trip by two hours because so many people wanted to go back due to being ill , on the way back it was so choppy!, this trip should have never been a go ahead!!, they offered us nothing. I understand you can’t help to weather but there was nothing in place when things like this happened , the entertainment like the saxophone could have come on boat and still played we had nothing but back ground noise into we started heading back they put music on for people to dance , which people was going flying because how fast the boat was going and how choppy it got.

Really nice 6 hours - first 2 spent going down the coast to Benagil, then transfer to the beach at Portal and have a bbq with chicken, salad, sausage, chips and unlimited drinks - red and white, sangria, ... The food was good and the cruise confortable. Nitpicks: the transfer to/from the beach was tricky, walking through ankle deep water, a bit cold after dark; the sand was definitely cold and wet after dark. But these are small details, most was excellent. Would recommend!

terrible. had to get from big boat to little one and then onto beach. very scary with big waves. man literally threw us on boat. went over on my ankle and been at hospital all night as it is broken. not a safe trip

Overall, we had a really nice time and felt it was worth it! The location was stunning, with a fantastic atmosphere, good music, and a friendly crew. Shoutout to Marzio for the excellent tour explanation. The fire show was a fun highlight, and the girl was super friendly and welcoming — she definitely added to the vibe. The DJ set was fun but shorter than expected, which was a bit of a letdown. As for the open bar, it was very limited. The drinks were made with very cheap alcohol, and the white wine was literally the kind you'd use for cooking (served in a plastic bag, no less). Also, make sure to bring your own towel — there might not be enough for everyone. That said, the setting, music, and crew made it a memorable experience. Just go in with the right expectations, and you’ll have a great time!

Amazing! Great time spent, boat tour then arrived in the creek with drink, meals, dj and fire host. I really recommend this evening! Great Mood and top staff!

Romantic, fun, gorgeous views, great food and music. This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The staff was attentive and friendly.

Very good Service. Cheese flutes and ham and fruit on board. It wasn't that tight. There were the right number of people. The beautiful landscape and stops by the caves. Even some dolphins appeared in the sea.The barbecue and the very beautiful show watching the sunset and music enlivening the situation. The best thing for me about barbecue grilled prawns. The price is right for everything they offer. I recommend it.
