Excellent Tour

Highly recommended—one of my favourite experiences in Rio. I did this tour as a solo traveler. My guide, Luíza, was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and the Tijuca National Park. The hike was highly enjoyable, with a pleasant length and moderate difficulty. Along the way, I got to see stunning natural scenery including some beautiful waterfalls, as well as historic sites.

Highly recommended!

We were accompanied by Riccardo, an excellent guide. Knowledgeable and friendly. He picked us up at our hotel. Along the way he told about the sights. We hiked in a small group in the Tijuca NP and visited a ruined coffee plantation, a cave and were able to take a waterfall shower. Highly recommended.

Simply excellent and wild

This tour is one of the best you can take: it’s a truly immersive and captivating experience. Our guide, Vinicius, was excellent and very knowledgeable, always willing to explain everything while sharing his passion for the area and for Brazil. The small group size and the transportation were both excellent. There’s a short hike involved to explore the forest more thoroughly, but it’s well worth it because you get to see monkeys and toucans.

Operator response

Thanks so much for this detailed feedback! It's really important for us. We're thrilled you found the experience immersive and enjoyed every aspect of the tour.Hope to see you back exploring Rio's nature with us! 🌲🦜

Green canopy, sloths, waterfalls, history!

Our hike in Tijuca Forest was stunning! Beautiful plants, wonderful shade on an otherwise very hot day in Rio. Waterfalls were magnificent. We saw a sloth which felt very special, little monkeys swinging from trees, and giant blue butterflies. Ricardo was an amazing guide! He was kind, a very clear communicator, and shared in depth historical and environmental contexts that made our experience not only beautiful but a tremendous learning experience. All of the JungleMe communications leading up to the tour were detailed, accurate and helpful, and meeting up with Ricardo was easy and just as described. Thank you for a memorable day in the forest!

Operator response
