Perfect way to see the island and learn more about Antigua history 🇦🇬

My daughter and I had a great time on this excursion. We were both pleasantly surprised by the number of stops and how well timed each stop was (none too close together or too far apart). It was a nice way to experience some different beaches of Antigua and also learn more about the history of the island. Our captain and guide were really lovely and kept us all engaged and informed throughout the entire day. The lunch was delicious and the rum punch at the last stop was a nice way to end the tour! One small suggestion - because we were the last pickup of the morning, my daughter and I had the very last two seats in the last row, port/left side. This particular location is subject to full sun the entire time as well as the most exposure to the splashing and waves. This is tolerable for most of the time especially since you are in motion (giving a nice breeze) but 7 straight hours of that gets really old. It would be nice if they requested that people swap seats a few times through the ride so everyone has equal time in different parts of the boat.

Great Speed Boat Ride

This was amazing speed boat ride, they took us all over and it was fast, loved hopping the waves also. They took use to string ray city, which was amazing the sting rays are beautiful and so soft and they are friendly loved the people. They gave us lunch on the beach. Our guides were Wesley and Brandon they were great. Price was very good too. They pick us up right From Hawksbill Resort on the beach

Stingray City Was Amazing—The Boat Ride Was Intense

We did the Extreme Tour yesterday, and I think it’s important for people to know what type of experience they’re signing up for. If you’re looking for an adrenaline-filled, high-speed adventure, this trip may be exactly what you’re after. Our boat was advertised as a 45-foot boat for up to 22 passengers, but there were 23 guests onboard plus four crew members, so it felt very full. The sea conditions that day included 5–6 foot waves, and the ride was extremely rough. We spent much of the trip riding in the troughs between the waves, which made for a very bumpy and, at times, intimidating experience. We were packed in pretty tightly, so if you value personal space or are prone to motion sickness or back or neck issues, this may not be the best excursion for you. The stops themselves were enjoyable, and Stingray City was a really unique experience that we’re glad we got to do. The crew worked hard, was friendly, and safety-conscious throughout the trip. The rough ride was largely due to the sea conditions, not the crew. I wouldn’t discourage someone from booking this tour—I would just encourage you to know what you’re signing up for. If you love fast boats, don’t mind getting bounced around, and enjoy an adventurous ride, you’ll probably have a great time. If you’re looking for a more relaxed snorkeling excursion, you may want to choose a larger, more spacious catamaran instead.

Extreme fun!

It was amazing! But a friendly reminder- if you get any sea sickness take meds as the one snorkel spot - Atlantic side- is rough. The snorkeling was awesome- saw Rays , beautiful fish including Baracuda. Wonderful lunch and swims on beaches. Our guides were perfect. Do prepare to get wet in the boat- sooooo cool and fast. I was the only one to get sick, but I still swam in the rocky waters, enjoyed my lunch, swims and rum punch. Well worth the cost! Our hosts were Captain Brendon, Lesley and Kembo.

Extreme tour

A very very good trip. charles the captain and his 2 very good mates kept us informed of all we past. And aided everything we wanted. We went on 29th june 2026. I would say you think its a bit expensive when you look at the tours but it was worth every dollar. One not to be missed. Gary & Tina.

Very Disappointing

I definitely would not recommend. This is very misleading. We did not swim with stingrays. They had one stingray, that I honestly think another boat brought in. The guy held it the entire time, rushed us thru a picture and then the second boat and the one stingray disappeared. The stingray was never even let go to actually swim and there was only one, and it was only there for probably 10 minutes. Swimming with wild stingrays was the whole point of us taking this excursion. We later heard that only the first boat of the day attracts the stingrays. Very misleading and not worth the price.

Operator response

First of all I'm really sorry that your day was ruined because you only saw one Stingray at Stingray City. Stingray city is just one of the many highlights of the xtreme circumvariation tour. The snorkeling a pillars of Hercules is really so much fun and we often see rays and turtles there as well. I would make a guess that you did not snorkel there. A deserted Beach stop is the highlight of this excursion from many people and this was lost on you. Doing a second navigation so you can see the entire Island with commentary from really lovely captain and crew was also not part of your enjoyment. The historical talk of Nelson's dockyard no good for you. That you only saw one Ray made your whole experience disappointing and one that makes you feel the need to recommend people avoid this tour. This is Extreme and not the xtreme that we know. With all that said, it is not true that the first vessel of the day sees the Rays and nobody else does. I'm not sure who told you that but that was some kind of weird excuse that is not true. The Rays are free to swim wherever they want to and while we would love to have ai-controlled Ray drones that we can guarantee the same experience every single day, this is far from the reality. Rays swim from one end of the large Park to the other and while you are on one side with one Ray there could be many on the other side which is why you're supposed to swim around the park with our guys after taking photos if you want to with this Stingray City crew. When I go there I personally just go swimming and look for creatures including rays. Sometimes they're more and sometimes they're less. However letting that destroy any chance of you enjoying yourself is shortsighted and I'm really sorry that you had the experience you did. I will pass on your comments to the family that runs Stingray City.

Do it!

My only regret in doing this excursion was we waited too long in our trip! I wish I would’ve done it our first or second day. It was an amazing tour with an amazing tour group. It was very fun and we learned so much about it. I would highly recommend doing this to anyone visiting the country. This was easily the best day we had in the country and the best experience we’ve had.

Great Day Trip

Our excursion was as amazing as we could have asked for. We did a circle around the entire island, and our guides were very knowledgeable about pointing out / telling us the history of different areas on the island. The highlight was Stingray City where we got the chance to swim with stingrays, get a picture taken holding one, and even feeding them. I would 100% recommend booking this experience. Just know ahead of time that the boats may be a bit fast, and sometimes the water can be a little choppy along the Atlantic side. Also, there don’t seem to be any restrooms throughout the duration of the trip. Other than that, it’s an experience that everyone would enjoy.

A fun day out and a must do!

A great day out. The staff on the boat were very friendly and gave us lots of information about different we passed by. The first stop was stingray city. Felt a bit disappointed with this stop as the only stingray was that we saw was the one you held for a photo. Guess that’s nature!!! Had a lovely lunch and stop on green island. The snorkelling stop at pillars of Hercules was the highlight of the trip for us…absolutely amazing. The final stop was at pinches beach. Can be a bit choppy and you do get wet especially if you sit at the back of the boat! This just adds to the fun!! Would strongly recommend doing the trip.
