An excellent tour of the city!!

This was an excellent tour. We had an opportunity to see and experience the various site in the city with ease and comfort. Our tour guide FREEDOM was personable and knowledgeable. He was very informative. We saw many sites, all filled with history of the nation and its people. By the time the tour was over FREEDOM felt like family. This was our first tour in the country and the knowledge we gained was priceless. A remarkable introduction to Africa and Ghana. A beautiful country with beautiful people. These memories will last a lifetime!

Amazing Tour

My family really enjoyed the Accra City Tour with Foster! He picked us up promptly in the morning and provided a comprehensive tour of the important sites in Accra. We started our journey at the W.E.B. Dubois Centre where we were given a tour of his home and we learned about his life and his contribution towards the advancement of people of color. We later visited the National Museum of Ghana where we explored Ghana's history and it's contribution to society. My favorite location was the Dr. Kwame NKrumah Memorial Park. We really enjoyed the peace and beauty of the site and we learned a lot about his fight for uniting African people. We loved visiting the Makola Market and visiting the Independence Square. Overall, this was an amazing tour and I am grateful that my family was able to obtain a comprehensive overview of this beautiful country ❤️

Best value for money to understand and experience Ghana in 1 day

Mr. Foster of Kadelo Travels is the most excellent and welcoming host, guide, driver and photographer. He is very knowledgeable about Greater Accra and its surroundings and he knows all the best places. As he is also very responsive online as well as truly punctual, and all entrance/food fees are covered in the package, this provides for a very smooth and relaxing day. Mr. Foster will take the planned experience and make it personally relevant for you, taking into account any issues or requests that might have popped up. His openness and flexibility really made it into a very pleasurable experience, deepening the understanding of Ghana's past and present. First, we went to the Botanical Gardens and got a personal tour there from an excellent guide (selected by Mr. Foster). During the drive there, Mr. Foster explained a lot about Ghana's history, culture and current society. Next, after tasting some freshly made local palm wine (not alcoholic yet), we went on to the National Museum where another amazing guide provided a private tour which explained the visual and tactile historical and cultural elements that fit in perfectly with Mr. Foster's introduction. This museum tour, which was comprehensive but not too long, concluded with a game of mancala and more insights into the legends of the wise trickster spider Anansi. After the tour there was the opportunity to visit an art exhibit (sale) in the museum as well as the museum's official gift shop. Then, we had a wonderful local lunch (included) and after this, we proceeded to safely view Accra's huge food and art markets. Don't worry, you won't have to buy anything, as Mr. Foster will help you negotiate the friendly salespeople. (Even if you don't plan on buying anything, please do remember to bring some tip money for the several helpful guides that you will meet on this day, they deserve it and will appreciate it a lot, as their regular pay is minimal.) We finished the day at the Black Star Square and by climbing the Black Star Gate. After this, we had a relaxed drive back to the hotel, Mr. Foster happily dealing with the heavy traffic while we were listening to local pop music and discussing some final thoughts and questions that had come to mind. Kindly note: during this visit, the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial site was closed for the public, but it will be re-opened probably before the tourist season at the end of this year (2023). Mr. Foster clearly has a lot of experience in tourism, in navigating Accra as well as in finding the best photo spots. He offers to take pictures of you free of charge and knows exactly where are the best spots to stand, so you will return home with beautiful visual captures of your Accra memories which you will fondly embrace and share with your friends and family.

Exhilarating and insightful!!

Tour date: 30th July 2022. Accra City and Aburi Botanical Gardens. We were picked up from our hotel and transported to Aburi Botanical Gardens. Along the way, our guide Foster gave us a detailed history of Accra and Ghana as it stands today. He explained the different sights all through the Akwapin Hills and surroundings. What an expert in hospitality and photography he is!! At the Gardens we met Martin, who was extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and shared valuable information with us. After a lunch stop, we continued to Makola Market, the heart of urban Ghanian life and seemingly the engine room of trade in the country. We reluctantly left Makola and headed through James Town, stopping at the lighthouse, one of the beacons of the coast, still enjoying Foster’s knowledge and expertise. We ended our day at Independence Square, at the Black Star Gate, or as we were told, the birthplace of Freedom and Justice. Great day, made greater thanks to our wonderful tour guide Foster. Thanks a million. May the ancestors continue to inspire and lead us. Eugene and Roslyn Mogbolu.
