Anna was amazing! She took time to give us the background of Michelangelo before entering the main exhibit. Anna provided the details you wouldn’t find in history books. We learned who Michelangelo was as person, as well as why he was obsessed with perfection as an artist. She personalized the tour to learn about us, too. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. However, she gave us too much information about too few of the exhibits. After an hour of information overload we had to ask her if we could tour the rest of the museum independently.
Martina, a Florence local, was a very personable and knowledgeable guide. She provided a good overview of the transition of artistic styles from medieval, Renaissance, to Manerismo.
Excellent guide and just long enough not to feel overwhelmed. I would recommend this to anyone traveling with kids.
