We will visit the beautiful Cathedral, the symbol of the city. Please consider that to visit the throne of Charlemagne it is included in the price.
We go to the square where you can see the historical Town hall and the Cathedral. Great for pictures
Brief explanation of the history of the town hall, location of the imperial palace of Charlemagne and entrance to the town hall council.
We will walk close the old Roman temple columns and walk in the beautiful streets of the old town
We visit the Elisebrunnen, touch the thermal water and visit the archeological ruins in the Elisegarten
We enter into one bakery and explanation of the Aachener printen.
We walk to the monumental gate of the city, where kings and emperors were used to enter.

What a great experience. Marco was wonderful and would recommend this tour. We love to learn about the places we are traveling and especially some history too. Marco and this tour was great in giving us a feel for the town and its importance from before the Roman Empire to now. Beautiful town and was a highlight of our trip to cologne. Happy we took the time for a day trip. We stayed after and visited the Christmas markets on our own. Total about 10,000 steps for tour. Easy walk from train and cathedral area slightly hilly but even terrain.

Well planned walking tour of Aachen. Guide was patient and flexible allowing for many photos. He adjusted our tour to better support our interest in the gorgeous fountains. Did not take the exact same route back so we saw additional scenery. Knowledgeable and conversational. Paced the tour perfectly. Also quick to point out regional food and shops.
