History, Art and Whisky

This was an excellent experience in Glasgow that not only provided some great street art information but also provided a thoroughly enjoyable whisky tasting experience. When we met our guide, Louise, we found out we were the only ones booked for the day so we had a private tour experience. Louise was fantastic and we wished we could have spent a full day with her. She provided some great insights into the history of Glasgow and was very knowledgeable about the amazing street art murals we saw on the walk. While she was obviously a whisky expert and collector who would be well suited as a guide for a guest with experience with Scotch whisky, she completely customized her guided whisky tasting experience to meet my goals as a Scoth whisky novice. She also told us about the public tours of the City Chambers building that we would have completely missed. History, art, whisky, and hints for hidden gems in Glasgow. What more could you ask for in a 2 hour tour!! This is a must do.

History followed by a historical drink!

Had an amazing time on the history tour with Gabriel! He’s a total character — funny, full of great stories, and clearly loves what he does. Learned loads about Glasgow without ever feeling like a lecture. The whisky stop way a welcome experience — nothing like a wee dram to make history even better! We learned a heck of a lot about whiskey too! Can’t recommend it enough.

Great walk and whisky tasting

This was a great walking tour that gave a wonderful overview of Glasgow’s history and sites with a very informative whisky tasting at the end of the tour. Our tour guide was fantastic! She was fun and informative and a joy to have as our guide.

Perfect Intro to Glasgow

We enjoyed our tour and guide immensely. This was a great activity on our first afternoon in Glasgow to get some bearings on the city and background to its history, along with trying some whisky.

Fantastic tour!

We had a wonderful walk all about Glasgow with Suzi who was just chock-full of information and stories (serious, funny and bizarre!). Her enthusiasm & knowledge was equally displayed during our Whisky tastings. What a great time we had! Thanks Suzi!! Valerie & Alan

Three lovely drams

Focus is on the college influence in the city and then the Whiskey tasting. A bit of a walk. Good mix.

Overpriced

I’m giving this tour four stars rather than three in deference to our guide, Gabe. There were only two of us and were very much appreciated that we got a private tour rather than being canceled! Gabe was very knowledgeable and informative. This issue really is the pricing - I booked this tour after another comparable one was canceled and I didn’t pay close attention to the price. The whiskey sampling at the end was fun, but very brief. Overall this tour just didn’t seem to warrant the pricing for a 90 min walking tour and 30 minute sampling of 3 whiskeys, but it was a nice overview of Glasgow.
