Very informative tour with an excellent guide with John.
Excellent walking tour - our guide, John, was extremely knowledgeable and shared so many Liverpool firsts!
Our guide was John, a Professor of History who really knew his stuff. It's a 2 hour tour in which John will share many historical facts about Liverpool and show you significant buildings and sites. We had no appreciation as to how historically important Liverpool has been to the UK and the world. We learnt so much. It was excellent, and we'd thoroughly recommend the tour. Don't think of it being only for history-buffs because it certainly isn't. Our only suggestion would be to give more specific details about where to meet at The Liver Building as it's large and we were at the wrong side of the building.
John was not only fantastically knowlegeble, he was most entertaining and really gave us an insight into the development of the culture which is still prevelant in Liverpool today. His passion was genuine and most engaging. Two hours really well spent! His forthcoming book should be a must read.
A great tour with a very knowledgeable leader who gave us an in-depth look at liverpools past .Highly recommended.
John was AMAZING. So knowledgeable about the maritime history of Liverpool and so much more! There was so much to learn about Liverpool and how it became the city it is today. Definitely a must!
Exceptionally informative tour on the history of Liverpool. John was a really engaging guide, who happily answered all our questions and he knows so much about the history of Liverpool. Highly recommended!
Fantastic and knowledgable trip
Super well done! Learned a ton
This is an incredible tour: the city’s past came alive in this tour. Our guide has a PhD in local history and knew how to best explain the prominence of Liverpool as a port city and its unique connections with the world. I cannot recommend highly enough: don’t miss it if you want to understand the city
