What an amazing tour! We chose Flavours of Manchester as evening entertainment while visiting Manchester for a business meeting, and we were certainly not disappointed. From start to finish, Danny and his two colleagues were informative, engaging, and incredibly welcoming. Our group consisted of colleagues from across Western Europe, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The tour provided a fascinating insight into the rich history of both Salford and Manchester, while also giving us the opportunity to enjoy some wonderful culinary delights along the way. The combination of local history, culture, and food made for a truly memorable evening. The tour is exceptionally well organised and offers outstanding value for money. Every detail was carefully planned, ensuring the group had an enjoyable and seamless experience throughout. A huge thank you to Danny and his team for making the event so enjoyable, entertaining, and informative. I would highly recommend Flavours of Manchester to anyone looking for a unique and engaging way to experience the city.
Daz was an excellent guide, had the right personality and sense of humour. Lots of info provided without over load. Answered questions. Adapted to the group despite the group having 2 generations. Need to be mobile to do the tour. Walked about 4 miles in total with plenty of rest points. Weather was beautiful so would be different if walking through the rain.
An excellent tour. We discovered bars and restaurants we didn’t know existed, and enjoyed excellent food and drinks in all of them. This was complimented with Darren’s knowledge of all things Manchester and Salford.
A fantastic walking tour of Manchester and Salford, full of interesting facts and context (without being too much) and delicious food. Recommended for those wanting to explore Manchester and Salford for the first time or wanting to become more familiar. Great guide, good times.
A funny experience blending food and history. Our guide, Ben, led the tour very well and told many interesting stories about the visited places and Manchester in general, from the old Hacienda to the imposing Duke 92 and the industrial history of the city. I definitely didn’t fell time passing and appreciated it a lot.
The whole experience was delightful from the start to the end. Our tour guide made us feel welcome and provided so much information about the two cities along with some very tasty foods and lovely drinks which themselves had their own story to tell. Would highly recommend and have already shared with family and friends who are keen to book a tour.
A fantastic way to learn about Manchester, Salford and related food, drink and cultural history. Luke was an excellent guide!
Excellent history about the area and tied in the food or drink we were experience. Guide was very personable and his knowledge of the areas was great. Enjoyed the pace of the tour.
I had an excellent time on this Manchester food tour with Danny as our guide. We got to try a variety of local foods and drinks from places I probably never would have discovered on my own. Danny was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun and relaxed while also sharing interesting history and stories about Manchester.
I travel a lot and this is one of the best tours I have every taken! Danny is passionate about his city and introduced our group of five to the history, culture, and of course, the food and drink. He brought us to many places we would never have found on our own and had us try many local dishes. We had three savory and two sweets and I was quite full at the end. In between we walked about 2 miles in total and learned about how the three "C"--coal, cotton, and canals--shaped Manchester into the vibrant city we see today. I highly recommend this on your first or second day to get your bearings and get recommendations of what else to see.
