6 Hrs Whale Shark Private Watching Activity in Isla Mujeres

Would recommend this to anybody in isle or Cancun

Kristen was great at communicating expectations ahead of the trip. Our crew was Angel and Walter. Left the dock around 7:45AM, jetted out to the whale shark area. We lucked out. There was a whale shark in the area with just one other boat. We had 4 of us on the boat and took turns swimming with the sharks two at a time with our guide. Great job of positioning the boat and telling us when to jump. They also did a fantastic go pro video (highly recommend getting this). Successful mission! Next, we went to snorkel at a national park. We swam around and there were tons of different fish to see, especially around the sunken boat. Our crew prepared one of the best ceviche lunches which I've ever had with guac and chips. Delicious. Finally they very conveniently dropped us off at our hotel dock. Highly recommend.

This adventure is worth a trip down to Isla Mujeres in and of itself. We left early to beat the crowds and the guides know exactly what they’re doing. Their instructions helped us get the very most of each whale shark encounter. And then the snorkeling! Did not expect such a wide array of fish—and we even saw an octopus and sea turtle as well! Lunch was incredible. One of my kids said it was the best meal of the trip so far. Everything from start to finish was incredible. I cannot recommend highly enough.

What a wonderful experience. Kris and the crew were knowledgeable and made snorkling with these amazing creatures a bucket list must do. You will not be disappointed, from a guided snorkle, a lunch of fresh cevieche and guacamole made on board for lunch and then on to the light house for excellent snorkeling Angel and Walter rock! We will do this again and highly recommend

We spent months planning our whale shark tour, hours of painstaking research and settled on Isla Spirit Adventures. They were super communicative (10/10), answering every single question I had in great detail. They worked with us to plan a private tour to suit our needs (highly recommended so you can get an early start - earlier you’re out there is the quieter it is, but you do have to find the whale sharks which can take some time). My only issue was the rushed feeling, but it is the law technically that you’re only allowed 2 turns in the water per person. Be aware of this when booking a private tour and make sure to clarify with them based on how many people you have how many turns you will get. While the captain and guide were amazing, we still got a slight sense of being on a strict timeline which takes out some of the relaxation/enjoyment, however this will likely be the same with all companies and I am not faulting Isla Spirit Adventures for this. I 100% recommend this company for your whale shark tour, they will have you well informed and cater to your needs. From what I’ve heard from others, I’d go as far as to say they are definitely one of the best that you can choose. Ceviche and guac were delicious too! (And I’m a tough food critic!) 10/10

Do this trip! It’s so unbelievably beautiful and amazing! It’s a bucket list item. The sharks are so friendly and breathtaking. Our captain and guide, Uriel and Husim, were so nice and made our trip too. They made the best ceviche for us that they caught the morning of. Best ceviche I’ve ever had! We snorkeled after at the beautiful reef then went to the north beach to swim and hang out. Malek our photographer was so friendly and seeing him in action capturing the beauty of the ocean was incredible. A must do at the island!

This was an absolutely life changing experience! From swimming with the whale sharks (so cool), to eating guac and ceviche, to my amazing crew, the day was perfect!!! I had Uri as captain and Husim as the guide, and they were wonderful, so kind and made it so fun. And Malek, the professional photographer, was awesome!!!

We scheduled a whale shark day for my sisters bachelorette party. There were 10 of us total and every single one of us had the best day ever! The whale sharks are incredible and it’s amazing seeing them up close. We also went to a beach after to swim. The crew was fabulous they were so much fun and went out of their way to make sure we had a memorable day. The owner also helped set up a professional photographer for us and just went above and beyond to make sure all the planning and details went smooth. We are already hoping to be able to come back and experience this day again. I can’t recommend this company or experience enough. Book with them and you won’t be disappointed.
