5-Day Golden Triangle Tour by Train from Delhi

It gives me GREAT pleasure to submit a review for AKRAM TOURS, of which Sumit Upadhyay is the Manager (and maybe owner). My daughter and I (30 yrs and 62 yrs old) recently returned from a week’s tour of the Golden Triangle, India via this fabulous company. Everything was exceptional from the very first communication to completion of the tour. I have elaborated below the reasons why but I'm sure I've missed a few as we did so much and our tour was just amazing in every way. Prior to choosing AKRAM TOURS, I did a great deal of research, finally narrowing it down to three operators. If considering a trip to India, DO NOT waste time and energy searching as no other company will provide the same level of service as AKRAM TOURS. I initially emailed an enquiry to AKRAM TOURS via their website. Sumit responded via a super friendly WhatsApp within 24 hours inviting me to call / video any time to discuss mine and my daughters needs. As she resides in London and I in Sydney, our itinerary required time, patience and flexibility of which Sumit absolutely excelled, immediately instilling confidence, professionalism and expertise. During a subsequent WhatsApp video with Sumit, I detailed our specific requirements based on an advertised tour with AKRAM TOURS but asked if a few changes were possible. This was not a problem and very quickly, our perfect itinerary was formed. All details were clearly confirmed and our requested train tickets arrived a few days later. From the first contact with Sumit, he instilled a great sense of confidence, credibility and expertise, a genuine willingness to help meet our specific needs, provide a super friendly service and refrain from applying any pressure whatsoever. During our week’s tour, we met with numerous drivers and FIVE different tour guides. Each spoke with an excellent command of English, were knowledgeable, patient (we asked lots of questions!), always on-time, super friendly and helpful, respectful, polite and accommodating. The entire trip ran with unbelievably smooth efficiency and comfort which we thought was absolutely amazing given our very busy schedule. On no occasion were we ever left waiting or wondering. Pick ups and transfers could not have been better. We were delighted to have the opportunity to meet with Sumit during our stay in Jaipur which confirmed the confidence, professionalism and friendliness I'd felt all along, together with his desire to provide the BEST possible experience for our amazing trip to India which exceeded our expectations. I cannot recommend AKRAM TOURS highly enough and would advise anyone considering a trip to India to contact Sumit as there's just no need to look elsewhere.

Travelling by train across the sunbaked countryside offers an iconic Indian experience, but without a guide to get you into the right car and seat you'd be lost - signage and staffing in train stations are minimal. We were so happy we booked with Akbran. The hotels were very good, the guides knowledgeable and the drivers skilled at getting us safely through the chaos of Indian traffic. Although the three of us travelled unaccompanied by a tour host, the owner of Akbran (Summit) checked in with us regularly to ensure all was going well. As one should expect, there were a few glitches along the way but we pulled together in the adventure and all worked out in the end. What I didn't realize at first was how easy it would be to alter the itinerary to better match our preferences. Hotel choices, number of days per city, preferred stops and more are flexible - but the suggested itinerary is great, and great value, as it is. Still, consider adding a second day in beautiful Jaipur, if your schedule allows it. Thank you, Summit!

Excellent tour taking in many sites. Tour operator took away all the stress of travelling in a foreign country. Very detailed directions the made the experience very enjoyable. Well worth the cost.
