Itinerary

15 min

Wadi Rum Village - We will meet at the Rest House in Wadi Rum Village. This is the first place you will see on your right, when you enter the village. There is a supermarket and a souvenir shop and our office is just around the corner. When all tourists are present and welcomed by the guide, we start the jeep tour around 10:00

30 min

Lawrence Spring - This natural water source with cool water running down the mountains into the throughs, is the camels' favorite hangout! With small trees and the almost fluorescent green moss, this is a true oasis. Relax here, just as the Bedouins and their herds used to do, and watch how herds of camels pass by, longing for fresh water. Or climb up the mountain to see spectacular views and the many inscriptions of Thamudic origin.

30 min

Khazali Canyon - From the outside, this looks like an ordinary mountain, but when you enter the canyon between the split mountains, you take a journey back in time. You can see the traces of the merchants who traveled with their caravans from Egypt to Damascus, and of the pilgrims who passed through the canyon to Mecca. See the fascinating Thamudic, Nabatean, and Islamic inscriptions, and petroglyphs of humans, animals, and soles of feet when you enter the canyon. And a series of basins in the back.

60 min

Red Sand Dune - This is the most famous sand dune in Wadi Rum! It owes its red color to a high concentration of iron oxide. It seems like a simple climb, but the sand is soft and difficult to walk on, which makes it challenging for tourists to climb, but very entertaining for the locals to watch. At the top you can enjoy amazing panoramic views of the valley. The best way to get down is running or sandboarding.

30 min

Little Bridge - Through years of various severe weather influences, this natural Little Bridge has been formed on a rock formation in the Khor El Ajram area. It is called Little Bridge because it’s only a few meters high and easy to climb, but the views are stunning and on pictures it looks pretty big and impressive. It’s perfect for families with children, and those who don’t want to climb too high. When you come down again, a cup of sweet tea awaits you in the Bedouin tent where you can buy souvenirs or relax and hang out with locals.

30 min

Umm Fruth Rock Bridge - This 15-meter-high bridge is the most famous bridge in Wadi Rum. It is not a historical place but it is the ultimate place to take enviable photos. Give your phone or camera to your guide who will stay on the ground and take an impressive photo of you on top of the bridge. The locals run up and down the bridge with ease, but for tourists it is a bit more challenging. That is why small holes have been made which makes the climb a bit easier.

60 min

Morning tour: Canyon walk Sunset tour: Sunset viewpoint Canyon Walk in Abu Khashaba Canyon: Stretch your legs and enjoy a nice walk in this deep narrow valley, surrounded by tall mountain walls. There’s a lot of green, which makes a beautiful contrast with the red desert sand. You will see many different types of trees and plants, and hear countless birds chirping. The locals have hung bottles to collect the rainwater so that the birds can drink from it. It is a real oasis of peace. The walk takes 30 to 45 minutes, and your guide will pick you up on the other side. Sanset Viewpoint: Wadi Rum is known for having the most breathtaking sunsets. And we know the best places to watch it! We will take you to a secluded area where you can overlook the wide panoramic landscape as the sun sets, while we prepare some sweet Bedouin tea on the fire. Just sit on the mattrass or in the sand and take in all the beauty you see around you.

15 min

Wadi Rum Village - After the tour we will drop you off again at the Rest House in the Wadi Rum village

Amazing Tour.. Highly Recommend

I highly recommned this tour. We booked with seven, and had a fantastic time with our tour guide, Fernando. He took us around important cultural sites, and went above and beyond to make sure we were immersed in what is "Wadi Rum." I can't explain how much Fernando made the tour with his witty humor and engagement. We booked the "sunset" tour. Be prepared to walk, as you will traverse through slot canyons and dunes, where you will take breathtaking photos. We were given the oppertunity to "sandboard" down a dune, which was not listed in the itenirary, but a welcome surprise. We ended the day with conversations and tea, while the sun dipped below the horizon. Keep in mind, admission into the park is not included. You will need to spend 7 JOR per person to entire the park. Bring cash, as you will get the opppertunity to purchase items and gifts from local stores posted throughout the tour. Some areas take card. There is an ATM at the visitors center for those needing to pull cash out.

Punctuality and professionalism

Punctuality and professionalism. We were lucky enough to be alone on the jeep and therefore visited the most significant sites in our time.

Muhammad Turned a Great Tour into an Amazing Experience

Muhammad (apologies if I’ve misspelled your name) was absolutely amazing. He made our Wadi Rum experience truly memorable with his sense of humor and friendly personality, which made the tour both fun and engaging. I had a lot of questions, and he always took the time to explain the history, wildlife, and anything else I was curious about. He struck the perfect balance of giving us time to explore on our own while also guiding us through the more challenging parts of the adventure. Muhammad also went out of his way to take plenty of photos, ensuring we captured beautiful memories of our trip. Beyond the breathtaking scenery, we enjoyed sandboarding and ended the day with a cup of tea at a stunning overlook for sunset—a thoughtful touch, since many other tours just stop in the valley. It was the perfect way to cap off a magical day. I highly recommend asking for Muhammad if you’re planning a trip to Wadi Rum!

Fun to see Wadi Rum, but check the weather....

The tour of the dessert was fun but HOT! (Much too hot as it was 101 degrees.) Our guide was a good sport and he took us to all the spots but keep us moving as we were melting. The various stops for tea, water and shape helped a lot.

Operator response

Thankss! Really glad you enjoyed Wadi Rum with us

Varied, fun, interesting - and truly memorable

We loved this tour! It was so varied. It’s one of the few to offer a hike. There was even a chance to sand board (like snowboarding), as well as taking in the highlights of the spectacular scenery. Our guide was knowledgeable about the history and culture - but also good fun. The four hours flew by, but the memories will last a lifetime!

Operator response

Thank you very much!

Great experience in Wadi Rum with children

We spent 4 hours with Wadi Rum Desert Dreams. We were three generations, and Wadi Rum Desert Dreams had arranged a daytrip visiting some of the great sites and ending with a traditional lunch in the camp. We had enough time at each site for the children to explore the sites and the guides were very kind and responsive to our needs. We highly recommend this tour and company and Wadi Rum with children is great.

Operator response

Thank you very much! We loved having you hear, we had a great time with the kids, and your pictures were amazing !

Stunning views and lookouts

There is a lot to see and do in this historic heritage sight and Tamir was a great guide. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and we had 6-7 stops on the journey. Make sure to have a healthy meal and boost your energy for all this exploration.
