Itinerary
Our biblical creation tours of the Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim include multiple stops to the very best overlooks with tons of insightful teaching throughout the day. The order below is a "typical" route, focusing on the park's east side along Desert View Drive. Due to changing weather, seasons, or the people flow in the park that day, we may have alternate stops other than what we provide below. Our tours are not "scripted", so guides have the freedom and flexibility to respond to changes in the park as well as your own individual group dynamic. Our tour does not include entry fee into the Grand Canyon National Park, which you may pay at the gate or use a National Park Pass. Entry is good for 7 days of unlimited use.
Our tour meets at the flag pole just outside the Grand Canyon Visitor Center building INSIDE the park at tour start time.
Starting near the Grand Canyon Visitor Center, our first stop provides you with an introduction to the Grand Canyon and its geology. We will lay the foundation for the rest of the tour regarding the biblical events of the Flood found in Genesis and the significance of what we'll be exploring throughout our tour.
Learn about the exciting Wild West people history at Grandview Point, with talks on mining both copper and tourist pockets in the early days of the Grand Canyon National Park development. Enjoy wide vistas and the distant Colorado River as we talk about the significance of the canyon and whether that river has the power to cut and remove this material.
While taking in fantastic river views, including one of the canyon's largest rapids, we will talk about the Native American Ancestral Puebloans who lived far below on the Unkar Delta. At Lipan Point, we will also showcase the geological Great Unconformity, Cambrian Explosion, and the Tapeats Sandstone—all of which provide fantastic observable evidence for a global Flood. Learn about the mechanisms of the Flood from its onset, and how we believe the sedimentary rock layers were deposited through this year-long destructive event of biblical proportions!
A lot of water, in a little bit of time. Learn about the carving of the Grand Canyon by what we call the "lake spillover" or "breached dam" model, something first proposed in geology all the way back in the 1800s and still held by both creation and some secular geologists alike today. See beyond the Grand Canyon to the distant Vermilion and Echo Cliffs of the Marble Platform and southeast to parts of the Painted Desert. Learn about the nearby historic Desert View Watchtower, completed in 1932.
Conclude our tour with a stop at Moran Point, with views of the river, rapids, and a beautiful landscape before heading back to the Visitor Center to drop you off.
After the tour, our guide will drop you off back at your vehicle at the Grand Canyon National Park Visitor Center, or wherever else you may have parked that day.

Our guide was exceptional and highly knowledgeable, providing deep insight throughout the tour. The itinerary was perfectly paced with an ideal number of stops, and the historic commentary was remarkably accurate. Combined with the spectacular views, it was an outstanding experience. Highly recommended.
What a wonderful experience to see God's creativity, and to have The Grand Canyon validated with scripture. Emila was an excellent guide. We appreciated her care and her concern so much.
This was my first time to do anything at the Grand Canyon. I’m so glad I did this tour on my first day. It was a wonderful experience to be able to see several key places during our 4 hour vehicle tour. Emilia was an incredible tour guide. She is knowledgeable about geology, history, science as well as the biblical worldview. I was amazed with how Emilia helped us encounter God’s character and the redemptive story of Christ through the wonders of the Grand Canyon. I recommend this tour to everyone and especially those with small children. We have a 3 year old daughter so we knew we couldn’t do one of the hiking tours. This vehicle tour was such a great way for us to see the Grand Canyon as a family!
Our guide was Bob Smart, retired Arizona Hwy Patrol Captain who was over investigations trained in detective work, was exceptionally amazing in explaining creation evidence throughout the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. God has taught me “Everybody has a story to tell, His story in you will do very well” and Bob did His story absolutely and extraordinarily well!!! Thank you, Bob for making this the most treasured highlight part of our 3-week road trip from Tallahassee, FL!!!!
Great overall view and teaching on key proof of a flood event. Emilia was a 10 on leading our trip. We were blessed
This was a 10/10 experience. So enriching! A wonderful and edifying morning. The beauty of the canyon supported by Gods written word lead to a very inspiring morning. David was our guide and truly has a calling and God has him right where David is designed to be. Clear instructions on the morning meeting point. The van is comfortable, water provided, start to finish narration perfect. A very personal experience. We are looking forward to another Grand Canyon Ministries tour.
Tour met and exceeded expectations. David was our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable and excellent.
What a great way to spend our first morning at the Grand Canyon. I had read Tom Vail’s book about the canyon some 20 years ago, and booked our Canyon Ministries tour when I was finally able to visit the area. Emilia was a competent and knowledgeable guide. She explained the Canyon from a creationist viewpoint and debunked the “millions of years” view espoused by so many. Even though I am a veteran science teacher and have been a student of Answers In Genesis books & materials for many years, she was able to teach me some things I did not know before. This tour was worth every penny and added so much to our enjoyment of the Grand Canyon.
Great tour! Loved learning about the history, geology, and biology of the canyon, and how they intersected with the biblical account of the flood. Dana did a great job!
Definitely worth your time and money. Our guide Dana was very knowledgeable, kind and spiritual. I would highly recommend.
