4-Hour Captain Corelli Beach and Caves Tour

Fabulous day out. Saw so much of this beautiful island, apart from the main attractions. My husband was able to enjoy the drive over the mountains too as he could watch the views instead of the road. The caves and lake were interesting and the swimming at Antisamos beach divine. It wasn't busy either as, because he had been advised there was a 2hr queue at the lake, we did the swim stop before the lake. The driver was fun, and a careful driver. The stop off at the Myrtos beach viewpoint with drinks and nibbles rounded the day off perfectly

This trip was great. Not too many people, just 7 including us. The tour company were very well organised and contacted us to finalise details before hand. We were able to arrange pick up (and drop off) from our apartment for an additional fee which was very reasonable. Thanos our guide was friendly, fun and helpful (adorable). We enjoyed his company. Antisamos Beach was stunning but very well used and depending on your likes/dislikes ruined by beach bars. The sea was like a broth of humans! Oh well it is very popular I suppose and for good reason. I’d go back there however, perhaps try to find a quieter time to better enjoy the water. It’s a beautiful lush spot. It is still beautiful despite the beach bars and car parks.

What a brilliant day! We had an absolutely lovely day, Metaxia picked us up from our hotel and right from the start she was friendly and knowledgeable. She was amazing, she quickly figured out the route the coaches were taking that day (the office had already made sure we avoided cruise ship days when we booked), and changed the route a little to make sure we missed them all! We had virtually no queues at all!! We waited at Melissani Lake for no more than 15 minutes (by the time we left it was way over an hour with the queue huge). There was information and history every time we stopped and as we drove around. She was really friendly and laid back. When we got to Antisamos beach she didn't rush us at all! After helping us find a space and working out the best price she was totally chilled about us spending a few hours enjoying the beautiful beach! She brought water, juice and filled rolls for us! With some sweet treats and my sons absolute favourite Caprice wafers. We didn't eat everything and she made sure we took it all with us. We took a really chilled drive back to our accommodation - there was no rush!! What a brilliant day! Metaxia proved herself to be a very safe pair of hands, there was a couple of occasions of really terrible tourist driving, including driving at us on the wrong side of the road, and she dealt with it like a pro. I cannot recommend a private tour highly enough, for about 10 euro more than a coach tour we had a really lovely day out. Was an absolute highlight of our holiday. We will be back next year and will 100% book again Thank you!
