SAMPLE ITINERARY - In the Spring of 1992, Pierre Celis flew from Belgium to the United States to start a new brewery in the great state of Texas. No one suspected that he carried something very precious, concealed in his tube socks. It was the original yeast strain Pierre had been using to brew his world-famous Belgian-style Wit beer for the past 30 years. And there was no way he was going to brew without it. This a fun tour with ample dinking opportunities. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable about the beer brewing process and the local beer scene. The tour stops at 3 local breweries where knowledge is shared and beer consumed. Our last stop had a food truck where one can purchase food (and I’d recommend one do). They also provide a bag of local sweet pretzels. These are pretty tasty, but no substitute for real food. It’s a great way to meet some new friends (at least temporarily). A little pricey, but a good time.
Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and made sure we had a blast. We had a diverse rambunctious group that he was more than able to connect.
We had a great time and learned quite a bit about the process and which types of beer we liked. We got to travel to different breweries and go to see their brew rooms.
This was a great tour! Jeff is very knowledgeable about the history of beer and the Austin beer scene. He picked some great stops and we enjoyed all of the beer choices. I’d definitely book another City Bre Tour!
Jeff was awesome! Super knowledgeable and friendly! Definitely worth the money! There was plenty of beer to be drank!
Really fun tour! Jeff was very knowledgable and brought us to all the right breweries. Listened to our likes and dislikes and even challenged our taste buds with beers you wouldn’t even think of trying, which were delicious!! Highly recommend this tour.
Tour guide was excellent!!. I learned very interesting facts about the history of beer making both locally and international. The three locations we visited had good beer
Jeff was an amazing host! Very knowledgeable and cool facts about the breweries in and around the Austin area. Will definitely come back and visit again! Thanks Jeff!
Jeff was very personable and informative. The breweries we visited were excellent and the beer choices awesome. While the tour did not include food he gave plenty of time to get some eats and enjoy our beers. I learned a lot about the process and the history of the breweries in Austin. I was visiting my Daughter and Fiancé who recently moved to Austin. Jeff took time to let them know his favorite stops to go and brought us down 6th street to show us that also. I would recommend the tour to anyone beer lover or not.
Great time - visited 3 breweries in Austin. Those small cups can catch up to you later!!! Appreciate the education in brewing!!!
