Very good tour. Pick up at hotel. Our guide was knowledgeable. Bear in mind that the boat tour by the locals is more or less mandatory but we'll worth it
The tour was well organized from start to finish. Communication via WhatsApp was excellent, and everything worked smoothly. We were picked up by boat and taken to the Uros Islands as planned. Overall, we enjoyed the tour and found it very interesting to learn about how the Uros people live. However, we were disappointed by the strong focus on selling products. We were taken into a tent under the impression that we would learn more about daily life on the islands, but instead we experienced significant pressure to buy souvenirs. This made us uncomfortable, and our guide simply waited outside during this time. We had hoped for a greater focus on the culture, history, and living conditions of the Uros people. Unfortunately, much of the visit felt centered around sales rather than providing deeper cultural insights.
Our guide, Richard, shared his in-depth knowledge of the local area, and introduced us to a wonderful family on an Uros Island, who demonstrated how they lived. Afterward we enjoyed a delicious trout meal for lunch with a lake view.
Great experience visiting the native people of Uros island. The 3 hour duration is perfect - we got a great description of how the people build the island, got some great pictures. The tour is private - so the 3 of us had the entire boat to ourselves. Pictures from the top of the boat were great. Our guide Richard was extremely knowledgeable and we didn’t know how the time passed.
Very good our guide is great and nice.
Really nice morning! We wanted a few hours to for the Uros islands and exactly what we got! First you go to an island to visit a family who live there. The president was lovely and showed us her home. Next you visit a more touristy one - with souvenirs/restaurant. It was a great morning! I would recommend. The boat ride was great and the guide and driver very lovely.
We had a great experience on the Isle of Uros with a great and excellent guide Richard! He was very professional in his explanations, very friendly and attentive!
Our guide Freddie’s excellent and our island visit was so welcoming and informative- we really enjoyed our time. Would highly recommend to get a good insight into life on the floating island of Urus
Lovely relaxing trip to Uros Island to get up close to this very unique aspect of the lake. Learned about local culture and customs and got to tour homes and talk to locals. Be sure to bring some extra cash - there are opportunities to partake of local crafts and handiwork and to take a ride on one of the local boats (an must-do).
We did the Uros tour with Richard and it was a wonderful experience. Richard was very friendly and we loved hearing the story of the Uros from his own voice. We also had the pleasure of meeting Edith on one of the islands, who taught us more about her culture. Their crafts are beautiful and we were able to take some as souvenirs. It was a different and very special experience for us. We highly recommend it!
