re:3D is a fully open source, collaborative company with a social mission focused on breaking through the limits of 3D printing and creating actionable solutions to recycling plastics. At our Austin HQ, you will learn how 3D printing works, see how large-format 3D printers get made, touch and feel 3D prints from around the world and learn from experts in additive manufacturing. To book a tour, please select your preferred day and time between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM and we will do our best to accommodate you. We are also willing to accommodate groups larger than fifteen people. Come tour our Austin factory where we make Gigabot, the world's first affordable, large-scale, industrial 3D printer. You'll learn about the frontiers of the additive manufacturing industry and see and feel 3D prints of all shapes, sizes, and materials. This was a truly amazing tour. It almost felt like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory to get this exclusive peek behind the scenes at this pioneering 3d printer company, everything from the tech to the conference room to the dogs (and goats!). Out of everything we did in Austin, my teen/college age kids ranked this their favorite activity, and we went the week of SXSW so that is saying a lot! We felt David was extremely generous with his time, as well.

Charlotte was amazing! She could answer any question with “made sense” answers. There were 3 of us who had heard of 3-D printers but no idea as to how they worked. I HIGHLY recommend everyone from kids to grandmas take this tour to educate yourself about how 3D printers are built, how they function, and how this company is reusing/recycling plastic. This was a great tour of a 3d printer factory! Charlotte was so knowledgeable and so patient at answering my 11 year olds every last question. We spent nearly a week in the Galveston/Houston area taking in all the sights and I’m not exaggerating when I say that this was the highlight for my son. He had the very best time here and is already asking when we can go back. If you’re even slightly interested in the 3d printing world then take this tour. You’ll really enjoy it. The souvenir 3d printed rocket is pretty fun too!
