Amazing tour and an excellent way to support a local company. Our captain and guide were friendly and professional. We did the early morning trip and were grateful for the lack of huge crowds. I appreciated how our tour was respectful of the manatees and their space that we happened upon during our adventure. For those who love manatees, this trip is a must!
We had an amazing manatee tour in Crystal River! Tommy and Bailey went above and beyond to make sure our family had the best possible experience. They took their time with us, kept us out longer than expected, and found a secluded spot where we were able to get up close and personal with the manatees in a peaceful, unforgettable setting. Our kids absolutely loved it, and so did we. Tommy and Bailey were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about making the tour special. This was one of the highlights of our trip, and we would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Crystal River!
Peter and Stephanie were awesome! They made sure we got to see and swim with manatees. I love the photo package included. They were very patient with our 5 year old and ver knowledgeable about the area. Overall it was a great experience. Would definitely stay local and go out with them again!

This was hands-down one of the best tours we’ve been on. Tommy and Jessica positioned us perfectly to get close to the manatees and gave clear, easy-to-follow instructions so we could see them up close. We changed into wetsuits right on the boat so we could hit the water quickly and beat the other tour groups out to the manatees. Jessica was incredibly knowledgeable — she answered every question we had about the manatees and the surrounding area with ease. You could tell she really loves what she does. Overall, it was the best day! Highly recommend this tour if you want an unforgettable manatee experience.

Jessica and Captain Pete were fantastic. They took time to make sure everyone on the tour had a great experience. Everyone was able to get up close with the manatee's. Captain Pete and Jessica took their time getting us to a spot all others had left and made the experience fantastic. I had gone on a tour with my younger grandson 2 years prior, with a different corp tour company, and the experience with Jessica and Capt Pete put that experience to shame. Private local companies like this one is the only way to go.
Derek and Tommy were our guides and Derek is one of the owners. They are very passionate about their jobs and making sure we had a great experience as they are born and raised right there in Crystal River. We went during "off season" yet they found us some "locals", the few manatees that live there all year. It was a magical experience and so glad we chose Go Local. Derek took lots of pictures and shared them with us for free! Highly recommend for all nature lovers.
We were three. We booked the Go Local manatee tour at 7 in the morning. In total, there were six guests. It was great. We were able to find some manatees and swim with them in peace. The two guides were fantastic, and the photos included in the package were excellent. Anyone who wants to take a respectful tour with the manatees and support a local business and its employees should book here. A wonderful experience
This is an absolute must do on your trip! This is the second time I’ve been out with the company first time was in peak manatee season late December and this one in June. Derrick was our Manatee Whisperer and Tommy navigated the waters like he’s been on them his whole life! A fun fact! They both have! As a supporter of locally owned and operated businesses, I was thrilled to learn the company’s story. Derrick had the patience of a saint, and his love for the outdoors and the precious sweet potatoes shines through; from his pre board education, his reminders and “resets”. He was a true joy to boat and swim with! Tommy was an amazing captain put us right on some great spots! Ask him what his trick is! He even did me a solid and helped me with something totally unrelated so i could get in the water with my daughter! They went above and beyond! And i couldn’t believe it but this trip we saw more manatees than the December trip! I wonder if they have a frequent flyer card? I’ll be back y’all!!!
