Description

Guests will be immersed in the countryside of the southern area of Montalcino and will enter the atmosphere of Molino di Sant'Antimo and the tradition of the Vittori family. This experience, which includes a visit to the cellar and a 4-course lunch, will lead our guests to discover the typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine proposed by the Vittori family in the Montalcino company. During the experience the wines of our production will be tasted such as: Gina Rosato or Il Bianco Chardonnay Igt Red of Montalcino Doc Brunello di Montalcino DOCG This selection is designed as an introduction to our winemaking history. Rosso and Brunello are central wines in Molino. Gina is the idea outside the box, an Italian Rosé with a French soul.

Exceptional experience

We spent an afternoon with Giulia and Samuele who welcomed us at Molino Sant'Antimo with kindness and friendliness. First, we visited the winery, under the guidance of Samuele who told us the history of Brunello di Montalcino and how their company has evolved over time. Then, they seated us for the tasting where, with Giulia, we tasted three wines of their production accompanied by a selection of typical products. It was an exclusive experience and exceeded our expectations, which we absolutely recommend if you are in the Montalcino area.

Lunch with Lucilla

We arrived and were greeted by Lucilla. She told us the olive garden area was very wet and although we were welcome to use it, we might be more comfortable on the patio overlooking the olive gardens . We took her advice and ate up there with a breath taking view. All I can say about lunch was that each bite was amazing. Lucilla is the best cook ever and made every item. She was able to tell us what was in it and how to make it. I asked her to come home with me to Chicago. Don't worry, she refused. After our amazing meal, we swam in the pool for about an hour until the weather began to change. It was a lovely day and the whole villa is actually apartments for vacation rentals, so check that out as well.

Operator response

Hi Jeffrey, thank you for the lovely review. We think Lucilla would be happy to hear it too ;) BUT... You were greeted by us (Giulia & Chiara), we didn't swim in the swimming pool as we don't have one at our wine company, you toured the cellar and had a great lunch (we hope) and tasting at the main house. Nonetheless, we have olive trees and vines as a view from the lunch room :) We hope to see you again...and we think Lucilla would love it to. Anyway, when we'll be in Chicago we'll give you a buzz and maybe meet up :) Thank you again for being our guests. G & C
