These were very special days at the beginning of our Egypt journey. Our guides, Hajer Ahmed and coincidentally our driver’s name was also Ahmed. They both were so kind and friendly and they went above and beyond to make us welcome and safe. We saw the key sites, enjoyed a dinner cruise on the Nile and sailed a felucca. We could not have asked for anything more. This was like a road-trip with best friends.

At the start of the tour the guide informed us that we have purchased a three half-days tour. This was a surprise to us since we remembered booking a three full-days tour. We showed the guide our itinerary and after a call “to the office” he cleared us for a full day. Throughout the day we had to pay for every entrance ticket which by the end of the day added up to over $50 for the two of us and it just didn’t seem right. The guide pointed out that the exclusions listed “entrance fees” and I pointed out that inclusions explicitly included entrance / admission to each of the attractions. After a bit of a heated debate in which he apologized that he can only do what the office tells him, he called the office. The office didn’t seem to know if the tickets should be included or not and I was told that we would have an answer on that later that evening. The “included lunch” was a plastic bag with some falafels which we were handed in the back of the car and were told to consume there. After only 6.5 hours we were back at the hotel and were told that the next day would start at 10am because it only had two stops and so it was going to be a short day. After returning back to the hotel I went through the tour itinerary as well as inclusions and exclusions and other people’s comments. I have confirmed that entry tickets were all included, as was lunch in an actual restaurant, and that itinerary for the second day included 3 rather than 2 stops and allocated 6 hours to tourism plus lunch and travel. I felt like we were being robbed and cheated. I have communicated this to the operator (which seems to be a large agency that hires random guides) and after a few hours got a response that they will talk to the guide. The next day we got our money back for the entry tickets from the first day and everything went well from that point forward, and we have enjoyed the last two days of the trip. A good recovery, however I would caution people to be careful when dealing with this company since it nearly got away with what seemed like an attempted scam on unsuspecting tourists and, in the end, even though we did get our money back and the next two days progressed smoothly, neither the company nor the guide were willing to take accountability and each was pointing a finger and blaming the other for the situation.

This should have been clearly communicated from the start, and we regret that it was not. We also apologize for the misunderstanding about the inclusions, as well as the lunch arrangement on the first day, which did not meet the expected standard. That said, we’re glad we were able to quickly review the situation, refund the entrance fees, and ensure that the remainder of your tour was delivered as expected. It’s important to us that issues are corrected and that our guests can still enjoy their experience. We take your comments seriously, especially regarding communication and coordination between our team and guides, and we are actively addressing this internally to prevent similar situations in the future. Muhammad was a very good guide for our tour group. He was able to manage a wide range of ages. Our group had many questions regarding multiple subjects on Egyptian history, sociology, religion and a range of other subjects. Muhammad was able to answer all our questions and inquiries. We had 3 unique lunch experiences, and many more vacation highlights. He was especially helpful with currency exchange, COVID testing and shopping advice. Hassam was able to deliver our group safely to all places on the itinerary. We felt safe and comfortable knowing we were in good hands.

Ahmed was a fantastic tour guide. He was very knowledgeable of all Egypt history and when explaining also included drawings that helped connect all the dots! He was also willing to take all the pictures we requested throughout the entire trip (he knows the best spots in the pyramids to take pictures). Ahmed went above and beyond not only as a tour guide but to also help us outside of this tour. Things like getting a COViD test arranged before our flight departure. He took care of it all. Highly recommend!

Ibrahim was our tour guide for this tour. He was really friendly and taught us a lot about the sites and Egypt. We enjoyed the entire tour and he went at a pace that we were very comfortable with. He also took great pictures!

We booked the 3 day tour. Everything was as expected and more. The tour guide possy and the driver Emad Alfonso were excellent and experienced with knowledge about the history and the areas that interested for first timers. We enjoyed the tour a lot and highly recommend it.
