3 Days Mount Meru trekking

Very bad company, cheating on your money, give you the wrong bank account number and won´t transfer the money back. Took it 3 times the money. Not picking up the phone anymore. Bad cars. bad equipment. The guides where also very unexperienced.

The hike was really great, it was challenging but broken into stages that are really acceptable. The views from the top are truly incredible and I am very happy that I did this hike. The guide/ranger/cook/porters were very nice and made the trip quite comfortable and the food, quality and quantity, was really good. In terms of improvements, I was a little disappointed by the pressure I felt for the amount of a tip I was supposed to give with the guide stating that between the 6 people involved (initially told there would only be 4 people) the usually collective tip would be 250-300 USD on top of the 700 already paid. While the team did great work, it was difficult as a solo traveller to cover such a cost alone. Additionally, on the return hike, I was pressured by the ranger to move faster which made the final hike a bit less enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience which I will always remember but I would recommend doing the hike as a group if possible.

Absolutely delighted with my experience with Rupia on this trek. Very responsive, the reservation was made before my departure with a pre-briefing proposed to check the equipment and finalize the last administrative details. The team is absolutely reliable, punctual, professional. Emmanuel, guide, knew how to listen during these 3 days and adapt to my pace and desire a "dynamic" trek. Kindness and very good Service from the team: Samuel (cook) and Cashbeth ( porter) with hot water to wash each step, a time to have tea, and delicious meals. Summit reached without much difficulty and accessible to a large number of people. The team does its utmost to offer you success. The return also went very well, with support until I put myself on the right bus to Moshi... at the sight of Kilimanjaro a few hours later, I decided on a whim to renew an adventure by the Marangu route 5 days with Rupia, meeting the whole team!!! If you need equipment, the agency will be able to provide you with quality, clean and functional equipment. Do not hesitate to communicate via Whatsapp to refine your needs and requests. I recommend! And again thank you for these wonderful experiences.

Three tiring days but well worth it. Frank, our guide, was full of information from start to finish, about flora, fauna and general mountain life. He and the whole team cared that we were perfectly comfortable, the accommodation was nice and the food very good. Remember to take warm clothes for the summit, it was very cold! Thank you Rupia for the experience!

We did a three day hike to Mount Meru with Rupia Adventure and we have had the best time! Everyone was very accommodating, friendly and helped us where they could through the entire trip. The food was excellent (and a lot so no need to bring extra snacks) and the trip was very well organized. Even when my sister wasn’t able to do the summit because of health issues they arranged for someone to do a different track with her. The hike up to the summit is definitely not one of the easiest ones however the guides are very professional, taking good care of you and support you where they can. We recommend to definitely bring warm clothes. We didn’t have any hiking gear or snow pants and it was no problem to lent it from rupia Adventure. The service you get for the price is excellent and definitely worth the money! A special thanks again to our guides Julius and Frank and their fantastic team ( we highly recommend them!!) for making this hike a once of a lifetime experience. We are very grateful to have met you and to have shared lots of funny stories.

After covid-19 we decided to hike Mount Meru and we choose Rupia Adventure to succesfully this trip, before to book this trek we saw many good pictures on Facebook page and instagram of Rupia then we ready good reviews on Tripadvisor and other traveler platforms, the hike was good, good team and professional organization, thanks RA
