Excellent Introduction to Kakadu & Litchfield – Great Guide and Memorable Experience

I recently joined Autopia's 3-Day Kakadu & Litchfield Tour and found it to be an excellent way to experience some of the Northern Territory's most iconic destinations. The itinerary covered a wide variety of experiences, including Aboriginal rock art, wildlife, wetlands, waterfalls, swimming opportunities, scenic lookouts, and cultural interpretation. For someone visiting the Top End for the first time, it provided a great overview of both the natural environment and the unique character of the region. One of the biggest highlights was our guide. One of the biggest highlights was our guide. Throughout the three days, they consistently demonstrated professionalism, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility for the group. It was clear how much preparation and behind-the-scenes work goes into delivering a multi-day tour, and their steady approach helped create a comfortable and well-organised experience for everyone. What I particularly appreciated was the guide's ability to manage the many practical aspects of the journey while ensuring guests remained informed, safe, and supported throughout the trip. Multi-day tours involve far more than transportation between destinations, and this level of organisation often goes unnoticed by guests. I particularly appreciated the storytelling and local knowledge that helped connect the different locations into a broader understanding of the region. The opportunities to swim, see wildlife, and experience the vast landscapes of Kakadu and Litchfield created many memorable moments. As someone who works in hospitality and regularly speaks with travellers visiting Darwin, I can see why experiences like this leave such a strong impression on visitors. The combination of nature, culture, wildlife encounters, and thoughtful tour management created a rewarding and memorable experience. The trip offered a good balance between structured activities and opportunities to simply appreciate the landscapes and unique character of the Top End. Thank you to the guide and the Autopia team for a memorable trip. I would gladly recommend this tour to travellers looking for an immersive introduction to Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks.

I really enjoyed doing this safari

Just arrived back into Darwin from a fantastic 3 day Kakadu and Leachfield safari with Autopia. The tour bus had excellent air conditioning which was needed. The campsite in Jabiru was great and the camp kitchen was very well kitted out. I was quite surprised. The beds in the tents were ok but good considering this is a camping trip. Charlotte was our excellent tour guide. She was extremely knowledgable and very friendly and accomodating. Food was great all handled by Charlotte. She made a great tour absolutely brillient. I highly recommend this tour and will seriously consider booking it again. Nice to escape the cold Adelaide weather this time of year.

A flight, rock galleries and waterholes

Charlotte was thoughtful, knowledgeable, organised AND a good cook. Despite many sites being closed at the end of the wet season she chose beautiful waterholes for swimming, led us up Nourangie walk and explained the rock art, and was a good first-aider for my nearly detached toenail. Really!! appreciated.

Operator response

Great tour

Awesome. Could do with indigenous guide instead of Spanish, nice guy but inauthentic.

Operator response

Thank you for your honest feedback. It's great to hear that you enjoyed the experience and found the guide to be nice. I understand the importance of authenticity and connecting with the cultural roots of the area. Your suggestion about having an indigenous guide is valuable, and I’ll pass it along to help improve future tours. We appreciate your input and hope to make your next experience even more meaningful!
