2 Night Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor

This trip worth it. Our guide Ahmed Abdelwahab was perfect. He paid attention to every details and organized the trip for our conveniance. Our wishes are his dutys as he used to say all the time. We really appreciate his flexibility. In the same time, he is passionnate about egyptology and is the ideal storyteller for the visit of the temples during the way. Thanks for everything. Gabriel, our Egyptologist and tour guide, was absolutely outstanding and incredible. He explained every detail with great knowledge and passion at the temples of Edfu, Kom Ombo, Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, and the two temples of Abu Simbel. He was very patient, answered all of our questions, and made the entire experience unforgettable. He stayed with us for three days during our Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan in Egypt, and his guidance truly enhanced our trip. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for an exceptional tour guide and Egyptologist.

The experience was beautiful and interesting. Starting from the High Dam, we went to the Philae temples, then took a tour to buy spices and finally to see the unfinished obelisk. Our guide Mary was very helpful throughout and answered all our questions, 5 stars for her!

We booked the 4 night cruise from Luxor to Aswan in comfort package (3 of them are standard, comfort and luxury). I think we had a standard style boat (nile jewel), the cabins were not large, the shower door disassembled twice, we were above the engine room, the boat smelled quite strong diesel, in short the boat is aging with antique style furniture (more than 20 years). We met other French who had booked a standard formula and were upgraded in comfort, their boat (jaz crown jubilee) effectively had nothing to do with ours, I do not find it correct, if I had known this I would have booked directly as standard because we paid extra for nothing. The food on the other hand was good and the crew friendly. Our 2 days in Luxor were top, we could not do the hot air balloon because of the weather and Nice tours informed us that we would have a partial refund (not yet received 4 days later, I hope they will keep their word). The guide was really great (young, cap, muscular and not big), his explanations clear and he answered all our questions. Those of Edfu and Kom Ombo were expeditious: the first sent someone else to pick us up and escort us and he was talking very fast, the second let us join our boat alone (so he was with us at most 20 minutes). In Aswan we had a woman Mary, very gentle and calm, her explanations were clear. For Abu Simbel, the guide was passionate about Egyptian history and had experience, these explanations were very well done and he supported them with photos and documents. He explained everything to us on the bus so that on site we could enjoy the site to the full, ask him questions and he was helping us to take beautiful photos. He's just a little too talkative for my taste and insistent.

Review only for High Dam, Obelisk and Philae. An informative and interesting trip. I unexpectedly was booked onto this by myself rather than in a group and so had a private driver and private guide Waleed. Waleed was well informed, asked how I prefer to experience attractions and make sure I was comfortable throughout. He got me some water and a snack which was appreciated. When we were unsure whether the boat was included, he called the tour company to double check that it was rather than making me pay again. I was encouraged to visit other shops including a perfumery but not pressured to spend money there. Thank you for a great afternoon Waleed.

We had the pleasure of visiting the Temple of Edfu today with our guide, Ahmed Zanan, and I honestly cannot recommend him enough. He was absolutely wonderful incredibly knowledgeable about the temple, its history, and all the fascinating details that made the visit so special. What I appreciated most was that he didn’t just explain things in a formal or boring way he made the entire tour dynamic, fun, and very engaging. This was especially impressive because the tour started at 4:00 in the morning, and everyone was naturally tired, but Ahmed still managed to keep the whole group interested, entertained, and enjoying every moment. Without a doubt, Ahmed Zanan has been the best guide I’ve had during my trip to Egypt. He is professional, friendly, passionate, and truly excellent at what he does. I feel very lucky that we had him as our guide today at the Temple of Edfu. He is highly, highly recommended!
