Itinerary
STARTING POINT Your unforgettable journey will begin in the beautiful district of Zemun, known for its impressive architecture and landscape. You will be on a brand-new pontoon boat with all the necessary facilities. Sip your welcome drink, relax, and get ready to capture amazing moments away from the crowds. See the Great War Island, a strategic point for the defense of Belgrade and a shelter for wildlife. Enter the delta of Danube and Sava and approach the Kalemegdan fortress, the largest park, and the most important historical monument in Belgrade. Pass under all major Belgrade bridges. During the cruise, the knowledgeable crew will tell you interesting stories about the landmarks, the customs, and the everyday life of Serbia.
Great War Island (Veliko ratno ostrvo) is located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers in Zemun, Belgrade. It's a nature reserve known for its rich wildlife, especially migratory birds. The island has historical significance, having been used for military purposes during World War I. Today, it is a protected area, accessible only by boat, and is a popular spot for birdwatching. While it remains mostly untouched, the island’s biodiversity and peaceful setting make it a unique destination near Belgrade.
Kalemegdan Fortress, located in the heart of Belgrade, Serbia, is one of the city's most important historical and cultural landmarks. Positioned at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, it has been a strategic military site for over 2,000 years, with its origins dating back to Roman times. Today, Kalemegdan is both a historical monument and a public park, offering sweeping views of the rivers and Belgrade. The surrounding Kalemegdan Park is a popular green space, home to walking paths, gardens, and several monuments. Notable sites within the fortress include the Military Museum, the Belgrade Zoo, and the Pobednik monument, a symbol of Serbia’s victory in the Balkan Wars. Kalemegdan remains a symbol of Belgrade’s rich history and a favorite destination for locals and tourists.
The Pobednik (The Victor) monument is one of Belgrade's most iconic landmarks, located in Kalemegdan Fortress. It was erected in 1928 to commemorate Serbia's victories in the Balkan Wars (1912-1913) and World War I (1914-1918). The monument features a bronze figure of a soldier holding a sword in one hand and a laurel wreath in the other, symbolizing victory. The soldier stands atop a stone pedestal, which is adorned with reliefs representing scenes from the wars and figures of fallen soldiers. The monument's height is about 14 meters (46 feet).
Belgrade from the river offers a stunning and unique perspective of the city. The Sava and Danube rivers converge at the heart of Belgrade, creating a dynamic waterfront that showcases both the natural beauty and historical landmarks of the city.
Ada Bridge (Most na Adi) is a prominent cable-stayed bridge in Belgrade, Serbia, connecting the city center with the island of Ada Ciganlija. Opened in 2012, it is one of the most modern and visually striking landmarks in the city. The bridge spans the Sava River, with a length of 1.58 kilometers (about 1 mile), making it one of the longest and widest bridges in Serbia. Its unique design features a central pylon that rises 200 meters (656 feet) above the river, from which the cables supporting the bridge are anchored. The bridge's sleek, modern appearance has earned it the nickname "The Belgrade Eye" due to its distinctive shape.

This was a great tour. There were only the four of us and the crew were very attentive and informative. Blankets were provided when it got a bit chilly. I would definitely recommend this. It should be noted that the boat is moored outside of Gabbianos restaurant which can’t be reached by car. If you are dropped by the Chinese hotel you just need to cross over the road towards the river and follow the path around to the right. Our taxi dropped us on the dual carriageway which wasn’t a big problem e just hiked across a field to the water but directions could have been clearer.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the intimate setting of the tour and that our crew took such good care of you (and kept you warm with the blankets!). We also want to sincerely thank you for highlighting the navigation details regarding Gabbianos restaurant and the local landmarks. Your instructions about crossing near the Chinese hotel are incredibly helpful. We apologize for the confusion your taxi driver faced regarding the dual carriageway, and we are glad it didn't ruin your adventure! Thanks to your feedback, we will look into updating our arrival instructions so future guests can find us even more easily.
Our tour guide was great! Very informative and laid back. My friends and I had a great time and would recommend it.
Excellent cruise on the Sava and Danube! Crew were friendly and knowledgeable and made the trip very interesting.
We're so glad you had an excellent time with us! It was a pleasure having you on board. I’ll let the team know they made your trip interesting—that’s exactly what we strive for. Safe travels!
We had a great time aboard the cruise with the skipper (Mozzie?) and his sidekick Luca :) They are very service minded, and Mozzie has great knowledge of the history of Belgrade, but also as interesting what has happened in recent times and what concerns the people of Serbia and Belgrade have now. Very faciniating! The boat is nice and clean, and its a easy slow cuise so you get to see all the main sights. We were a little unfortunate with the weather as it was windy and a little cold but just remember to bring jackets if the weather is a little overcast and you will be fine. Maybe we will see you guys on a cruise in Santorini in the future ;) Take care! PS: Can also recommend a stop at the restaurant beside the pier if you want some food before the cruise called "Lemon Chilli" mostly pizza but really nice food.
Husband & I only passengers and it felt SOOO exclusive! Total conversation with skipper and total beverage attention from his assistant! Very special for us but it's a very good experience even if the boat had 8 more people.
The team was very friendly and dedicated. You could ask a lot of questions and the team also shared interesting details about Belgrade and Serbia. In addition, the boat was clean and in great condition and the drinks optimally tempered.
It was a beautiful day. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. They gave us lots of good information, but not too much. They were very friendly gentleman! They also helped us catch a cab back to our hotel.
Great tour, boat captain was very informative and the drinks were flowing. It was beautiful to see the sunset on the water
The owner of the company and at the same time boatmaster showed us Belgrade from the water for 2 hours. He was very concerned for all of our well-being, he also contacted us personally the day before. He speaks fluent English and feels he knows pretty much everything about the history of Belgrade. From the Danube to the Sava and back to the Danube, just wonderful. We were so happy afterwards, it was mega. The comfortable boat offers sun and if desired shade, is handicapped accessible and limited to a maximum of 10 people, which was very nice to us! Our conclusion: An absolute stroke of luck, very serious and absolutely recommendable!
Fraud: Who refunds Hotel Taxi?? Very poor service, caller suppressed mobile number. How long do I have to wait for the refund??
