The event includes - mini-lecture on what is Specialty coffee, presentation of coffees that will be tasted by the group, setting up a cup-tasting session, coffee degustation, discussion with a group regarding experienced flavors, choosing favorites, Q&A and a give-away. Join in for an immersive coffee tasting experience in one of the best Specialty Coffee Shops in the heart of Ljubljana. Learn what cup-tasting is, how to evaluate coffee by industry standarts. Discover delicious and unique coffees sourced globally and roasted locally. Get your coffee-related questions answered by a coffee professional. who will be guiding you through the gustatory experience. Hosted by Slovene Coffee Degustation Champion and Authorized SCA Trainer. Only locally roasted Specialty coffee. Attendees will learn how to evaluate coffees with a unique digital tool used by professionals of the industry. Attendees will be able to take the coffee they liked most with them as a compliment.

Never would have thought that Slovenia of all places can be so advanced in coffee culture. I attended a coffee tasting with these guys and man do they know what they are doing. I’ve tasted 6 different lots, mostly from Colombia, from 5 roasters. btw; Really liked the one from El Diviso.

I was originally looking for a wine tasting, but found Lev and his coffee tasting instead. It was a very interesting and unique experience. They explained the nuances of how coffee is grown, picked and fermented. After a brief lecture, I was presented with six coffees roasted by locals and taught how to properly taste coffee by slurping. I liked the Costa Rican coffee and could literally taste the pineapple.

These guys through a massive coffee degustation with a lot of locally roasted coffee and it was both fun, entertaining and insightful! Can’t say that all the coffees were delicious but tasting all these different “verities” was new and interesting.

Had an amazing coffee tasting experience (my first) with Lev today. He tailored the session to my current knowledge about coffee so it was interesting and engaging throughout. Besides doing the actual cupping, he also offered a smell calibration by having me try to identify various smells which was fun and challenging. We then proceeded to get to know the various coffees, doing the cupping and afterwards discussing what I liked/disliked and how that relates to the type of coffee. Very much recommended 👍

I learned about specialty coffee production a topic I knew almost nothing about. The demonstration provided a good starting point for my understanding of this surprisingly complex subject. I now have a greater appreciation for the nuances of coffee and the people involved in its production.

You don’t need to go to Brazil to try the freshest coffee harvest there because the coffee pros in Ljubljana will serve you a whole table filled with uniquely tasting coffees. The infused Colombian coffee was remarkable. Would recommend!
I wouldn’t normally consider myself a huge coffee fan, but this coffee tasting experience was fantastic! It really gave me a new appreciation for the variety and flavours. Big thanks to everyone involved in organizing this event—had such a great time! :)
If you like wine tastings, you will definitely like this one. The coffees presented were great, and some were really outstanding. The cupping process (a professional way to taste coffee) is such a meditative ritual. I enjoyed it, and I recommend it! 5 stars :slightly_smiling_face:

Honestly, I was a bit off my plate when everybody started slurping coffee, but overall, it was an exciting event. I was already acquainted with specialty coffee, but the taste was pleasant. Now, I might practice it at home. I was particularly interested in discovering the roasting style popular for Specialty coffee in Slovenia.
