The Primate’s Palace is one of the most beautiful classicist buildings in Slovakia. Atop the tympanum is the coat of arms of Cardinal Jozef Batthyányi, the first occupant of the palace; an iron model of his hat, weighing 150kg, crowns the building.
The history of the Old Town Hall dates back to the beginnings of the mediaeval town in the 13th century.

Amazing tour guide Nicole who was very patient when we went to the wrong meeting point! We were the only ones on the tour that morning so it was like a private tour and we felt really comfortable with Nicole chatting and she was so knowledgeable about the history of Bratislava. The guide’s English was a little bit hard to understand sometimes. But, overall, he seemed pretty knowledgeable about Bratislava and it’s history.
