My girlfriend and I have a very poor experience on the Georgia Queen while vacationing in Savannah, in the description it stated that there is a bar and grill available on board, the bar was okay for a cruise bar but the “Grill” was literally a concession stand with very limited options on food, it felt very cafeteria like, and was not a romantic experience that we hoped for. the views were pretty and the sunset was beautiful so that we for sure cannot complain about one bit, but the amenities offered were very poor quality. We got a frozen margarita and it made me so sick I threw up. Very disappointed. Not the experience we were expecting unfortunately.
It was wonderful to have different levels so you can go on the top deck and enjoy outdoors and the sunset fully or stay inside and dance to the music. There was something for everyone. Our only complaint is getting on and off the boat. We got there early so did not have to wait long to get on but our boat left 15 minutes late because of the line of people getting on. Then when getting off there was one exit point for everyone and it took almost a half an hour to get off. Part of it standing on stairs. They need to have an exit point in the front and back of the boat to help it flow easier.
We thoroughly enjoyed our sunset cruise. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Great music, beautiful sights, lovely weather
Such a fun time!!!! Beautiful views. Great staff and DJ. Fun, friendly, and lively crowd!
The boat cruise was not what I thought it would be. I did not think it was worth $55. Lots of construction going on.
The staff was very helpful, attentive & gracious. The music was excellent and we would happily pay admission to hear them at any venue.
I liked the way the boat turned several times to give different views, whilst we sat in the same seats (and a few minutes of shade for the ones of us who chose to sit on the top deck in June LOL). It was a VERY relaxing time with good music. The pina colada was delicious! And the sunset with the bridge made a very nice picture.
Chicken tenders and fries were undercooked. Had to ask for order and then got treated rudly by staff. Ran out of Ketchup and Honey Mustard. Savannah Slammer was not slamming. It took 20 minutes and four employees to find my picture. Overall it was an awful experience!
Was exactly 2 hours and was a great tour. The only thing was it would’ve been nice knowing we would see dolphins so we weren’t really prepared for that.
The "cruise" was basically a slow boat along the shore with nothing to see. There was loud obnoxious music on board. Not what you would expect on a "cruise". We had to escape to the inside of the ship to get away from it. Unfortunately it started to rain and they brought the party inside and we could not even talk with our friends it was so loud. I would not recommend this "cruise" at all.
