A wonderful hour and a half journey through Slovenian wine. The setting at the castle was perfect and the cheese board that accompanied our 7 wines was generous. I'd highly recommend this experience as part of a trip to Ljubljana.
Easy to book wine experience in a stunning setting with a really lovely and warm host, with incredible local wine varieties and accompaniments!
A lovely evening spent sampling Slovenian wine and meeting new people. It was a lovely way to end our time in Ljubljana.
Enjoyable evening tasting different wines and meeting people from other countries. We actually extended the evening out to the terrace
Ana did an amazing job explaining the wine and provided a great overview of the Slovenian wine regions. The setting is superb- highly recommend!
We had a wonderful experience tasting Slovenian wines with Anna. The wines were very good and Anna was a knowledgeable and engaging hostess. We learned a lot about wines from Slovenia
Thank you very much for your kind rewiev!
Not good wine. We never dump out wine, but we dumped out most of them as did the other couples. The merlot was decent, she gave us an extra glass. Ana the server was terrific, really friendly, knows quite a bit about the wines and the regions, and agreed with us about the wines. It wasn’t her fault, she says she does not get to pick them. For the price (over $140 for 2), we could have sampled some very nice wines anywhere, could have even bought quite a few bottles. I usually live my Viator tours, but this one would be hard to recommend.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and for the kind words about Ana — she truly is an asset to our team and we're glad her knowledge and warmth came through. We're sorry the wine selection didn't meet your expectations. Taste is deeply personal, and we understand that at this price point, your expectations were high — and fair. Our current selection reflects Slovenias winemaking diversity that clearly wasn't the right fit for your palate, and we take that feedback seriously. We're pleased the merlot was a bright spot, and we hope the overall experience — the setting, the service, and the knowledge Ana shared — still offered some value. That said, we hear you, and reviews like yours help us continue to evaluate every aspect of what we offer. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back one day. Best, Luka
This was an awesome wine tasting trying a wide range of tasty Slovenians wines. Not only did we get a good break down of all the wine producing regions within the country, but also had some great conversations on life in general! Jan was a great guide and you could tell he was not only knowledgeable about wine, but more importantly, passionate. As someone who works at a wine bar in the U.S., I learned a lot of cool info.
Thank you very much for your kind rewiev!
Luke was very friendly and informative giving my sister and I a wonderful overview of slovania’s wine and regions. His interactive way of describing everything was amazing. Worth the time and would recommend!
Thank you very much! Hope to see you again. Best, Luka
Great variety of Slovenian wines tasted and learned a lot about the evolving nature of wine-making in the country. Fantastic setting, but note the time the funicular railway stops running!!
Thank you Sharon for a nice rewiev! And yes, the funicular stops running at 7Pm in winter months, sorry about that!
