We have had fantastic days with Franco. He knows (almost:) everything about the flora and fauna. We tasted, experienced, listened to the sounds of nature, wondered, met locals, spotted animals, made and ate chocolate, baked pots:) and above all laughed a lot!
My wife and I had a very nice guide in Franco for two days. A lot of knowledge of nature, history and therefore very nice for us to get to know a part of Ecuador (Amazon). His knowledge of animals, plants and fruits was particularly impressive! Franco was also a nice person to hang out with. Informal and excellent English proficiency. We are very happy that we were able to discover a piece of Ecuador with him.
Wonderful stay at a lovely lodge in the Ecuadorian Amazon the activities were interesting, thought we would have seen more wildlife, but the overall experience and activities were well organised.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us Karen! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our lodge and found the activities well organized. The Rainforest is a magical place, and while wildlife sightings can sometimes be unpredictable, every visit offers its own unique encounters and adventures. We truly appreciate your feedback, and we hope to welcome you back for even more Amazon discoveries in the future!
It was an amazing adventure. The lodge/accommodation was beautiful. So much activity packed into such a short time, but you never felt rushed. Our guide Brayan was fantastic and so fun to hang out with. I would definitely recommend this trip to everyone.

The tour is misleading. I was thinking I’ll be deep in the rainforest but it’s just around the lodge. The driver spoke no English but at least he tried to provide info about the stops. Unfortunately, too much fog to see anything on the drive. The day 1 guide Carlos kept pushing timings to fit his schedule. The 1 hour tubing was only 15 mins. He was leaving early so he did all the activities back to back. The night tour was also for 15 mins on their property. Carlos decided to do the tour before dinner when it wasn’t even fully dark so he could leave early. Only spotted a tarantula and one frog. Day 2 was much better. Guame (I think that’s how you spell his name) was wonderful. He showed me a canoeing tour where we saw many monkeys, birds, fish. The tour with the native people was good. The waterfall was nice. Would recommend swimming in it. Overall, Guame made the experience salvageable. Overall, not worth the price. The towels and bed sheets smelled. I’d recommend going to Yasuni instead.
Thank you for sharing your feedback — we truly value it and take it seriously. We’re sorry to hear that the experience didn’t meet your expectations on the first day. Regarding your comments: Yes, we do offer tours to the Yasuní region, which is a truly pristine and remote part of the Amazon Rainforest. However, due to the complex logistics involved, such tours require a minimum of 5 days, including two full days just for transportation. As you can imagine, this also significantly increases the cost. Our tours in the Upper Napo region are designed specifically for shorter stays, making them ideal for travelers who want to experience the Amazon without extensive travel time. The price reflects a balance between transportation from Quito, accommodation, meals, and guided visits. As for the guide and activities on Day 1 — thank you for bringing this to our attention. According to our itinerary, the initial forest walk typically lasts around 40 minutes, and the tubing should last about the same. We’ll be following up directly with the guide (Carlos) to understand why these activities were shortened and compressed. That’s not the experience we aim to provide, and we’ll address it accordingly. Regarding the transfer: the tour does specify that the driver from Quito will be Spanish-speaking, and the English-speaking guide joins once you arrive at the lodge. We’re glad to hear that Day 2 with Guame was much more enjoyable, and we’ll be sure to share your positive feedback with him. Thank you again for your comments — they help us improve and ensure a better experience for all our guests.
Overpriced and over charged for transportation back to Quito. We paid $ 90 dollars to end up in a carpool that significantly delayed arrival and agency only paid the driver $40! That large of a market I concsider a scam/fraud. Therefore, as a lack of integrity and underwhelming “forest” outing for real outdoor lovers I give this a 1⭐️
Dear Gueset Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely regret that your shared transportation experience back to Quito did not meet your expectations. Our shared transportation service is designed to offer an accessible and eco-friendly travel option. The price reflects operational costs, including coordination, logistics, and safety standards, not just the driver’s payment. Before the tour, we informed you of the two transportation options available: Shared transportation: $45 USD per person (2 passengers = $90 USD), non-stop and shared with other passengers. Private transportation: $130 USD for 1-3 passengers, with the flexibility to stop at places like the Jumandy Caves or Papallacta Hot Springs. During your stay, you selected the shared transportation service from the Misahuallí area to Quito after completing your 2-day/1-night tour. We facilitated the reservation with an external company for the Misahuallí–Quito route (135 miles/217 km). This door-to-door service can take over 5 hours due to stops for picking up or dropping off other passengers. We understand that after the tour, you decided to visit the Jumandy Caves in Archidona (1.5 hours from Misahuallí) on your own. Unfortunately, this change was not communicated in advance, which created logistical challenges. Although the driver adjusted the route to pick you up, it was not possible to modify the agreed-upon fare. If we had been informed beforehand, we could have arranged a more suitable service from that location, and the cost of the shared transportation would have been adjusted accordingly. Additionally, our private transportation would have been the most convenient and comfortable option for your return to Quito, allowing you to enjoy greater flexibility and visit the Jumandy Caves, Papallacta Hot Springs, or other points of interest along the way. We will review this case to improve our communication and ensure a smoother experience for future clients. We value your feedback. If you wish to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. Our commitment is to learn from this experience and continue improving. Sincerely,
Our trip to a jungle resort in the Amazon Rainforest was truly an unforgettable experience! The journey from Quito was about four hours, and the travel was incredibly accommodating, making the ride comfortable and enjoyable as we made our way deeper into the heart of the jungle. When we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful the property was—the surroundings were lush and vibrant, and the rooms were top-notch, offering both comfort and a true Amazonian vibe. The highlight, though, was our guide, who was not only hilarious but also extremely welcoming. From the moment we arrived, they made sure everyone felt at home and had a great time. They went above and beyond, taking us to see the coolest spots in the jungle that we never would have found on our own. Whether it was spotting wildlife, learning about the local ecosystem, or exploring hidden gems, the guide made every moment feel special. They made sure we left with incredible memories that will last a lifetime. This was hands down one of the best travel experiences we've ever had!
