In Kazakh it means the White Mountains. 2nd day you will have a chance to see one of the most unique phenomena of nature - Singing dunes. You will try Kazakh national food and stay in cozy guest house of Kazakh family.

The prep communication was good, the pickup was on time and the car was quite comfortable, and well equipped for the "washboard" roads in the mountains. Our guide, Mikhail, was very accommodating and easy-going. The drive to Altyn Emel was uneventful, we occasinally stopped to enjoy the views an take photos. All our meals and overnight stay were in Ardak guesthouse in Bashi village. The accommodation was comfortable and the home made food - really excellent. First day we had a nice long hike in Aktau mountains for some incredible views, and then a stop at Katutau. The pace was very relaxing, which is one of great advantages of a private tour. The next day, it was off to the Singing Dune, where we took our time to climb it and enjoy the view. Trying to slide back down the slope did not go exactly as planned, but it did make the dune "sing"! After that, a stop at Ardak for dinner, and then a nice drive back to Almaty. Very pleased with the experience and would definitely recommend it.
I planned to visit Altyn Emel Park and Charyn Canyon with Explore Kazakhstan and I could not be more fulfilled. My guide was very delicate with an extraordinary knowledge about both Reserves. I can not stress enough how much I enjoyed this 2 days trip for such a budget. Congratulations for the organization, it was special.
I randomly found these guys when I was planning to visit the Central Asia, and I was lucky to choose them! As a matter of fact, I had a trip there in September but recently I was asked by guide lady Madina to leave a comment here to support this company. Firstly, our guide was just great, we had a great communication, she was helpful and always in mood, that's why I am writing it here! So, basically, it's a two day roadtrip quite far away from civilization and you are able to feel what Kazakhstan really is. We asked to get an individual transport and we got Toyota Land Cruiser, which really surprised us! Regarding nature, Altyn Emel is almost a desert with chalk mountains (telling you as a geologist) and a quite big river. There is also Singing Barchan local sight, you may hear its deep hum from away. We did trekking and was lucky to ask some locals to ride a camel for a small tip. If you don't mind wild nature, I would reccommend it 100%
