Excellent organizing. Reliable friendly professional family run company. Knowledgeable interesting guides. Highly recommended
We have just finished our private 2-day tour from Istanbul with Hassle Free Travel to Gallipoli/Çanakkale and we absolutely LOVED every second of it. We were SO INCREDIBLY fortunate to have the services of a wonderful guide (Ercan Yavuz) who was just amazing! When we first booked this tour, we knew roughly what we wanted to do but Hassle Free also made recommendations to us, which we gladly went with. As an Aussie family of 4, it was important to us to visit not only the sites that are so well known back home but also to visit other locations and pay our respects to all of those who fought. Whilst we managed to get in a huge amount over the 2 days, it has left us wanting to come back and do more. The sites associated with the Gallipoli Campaign were just incredible and to get a first-hand glimpse at these locations was unforgettable. Adding on to that was the fact that we were able to visit Troy/Troia on the first afternoon, which we all just loved! Our guide Ercan was such an incredible part of our experience and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND requesting his services. His love and passion for what he does is obvious at every given moment - it is clear he wants visitors to have 'the experience' but he wants to ensure everyone leaves feeling completely satisfied. One of his first questions was whether we had any immediate connection to men who had served and whether we had a desire to find a particular resting place. When I mentioned that my great grandfather had come ashore on 25th April 1915 and which regiment he had served in, he knew and had immediate insight into things to see and places to go. As a History teacher myself, I feel like I have a good background about the locations of Gallipoli and what took place in each but his insights and specialised knowledge truly blew me away. He always wove tales of his experiences as a guide, working with different individuals, families, large groups and foreign dignitaries into what he shared with us at the many sites we visited. He would often share anecdotal stories from the time of the events in 1915, giving us a closer connection to the men serving at the front. Ercan was also incredibly warm and good with our teenage boys; he made sure to offer accounts of situations that could allow them to appreciate the horrors of the conflict for both sides whilst also helping them to more fully appreciate why the events mattered so much for all nations involved. He really did an amazing job and I would GLADLY go on another tour with him if I were even given the opportunity. Just as a little side note - the transportation from Istanbul was great...very easy and convenient in terms of pick up and drop off. Everything was very well organised in regards to food (lunch both days was delicious) ferry transportation across the Dardanelles was easy and enjoyable and our accommodation in Çanakkale was wonderful with a great dinner and breakfast (DoubleTree by Hilton). Thank you to Hassle Free and Ercan - we had such an amazing experience!
Very informative trip. Hulya's knowledge was incredible. It more than exceeded our expectations. Standing in the terrain, Hulya brought the scene to life. Glad we had sun hats with us and plenty of sun screen. The air conditioning in the bus was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend this tour to others.
Outstanding!! These guys went out of their way for us. They were great with communication, taking all the stress out of a trip in a massive place like this. They picked us up from our door in Istanbul and kept us informed of all times through WhatsApp. Lunch was a three course meal and more than what was expected. They gave us the option of standard of accommodation and we were extremely happy with what they selected for us!! The guide for Gallipoli was passionate and knowledgeable and made this tour emotional and memorable. A once in a lifetime experience for us. The thing that stood out for us was the way they went out of their way for us and adapted plans to suit our needs. We would highly recommend using this professional and reliable team.
We wanted to find the grave of Lt Commander Stuart Brodie, Commander of Royal Navy submarine E15, who was killed trying to get up the Dardanelles Straits during the Gallipoli Campaign in 1915. All this was organised for us by our wonderful guide, Ercan, who showed us the grave in the Canakkale cemetery and also took us on a fascinating tour of the Gallipoli peninsula. He was a really good guide, extremely knowledgeable and interesting and in touch with all sorts of historians and military personnel, who had similar interests. Our last minute request to visit the new museum at Troy was fitted into our schedule without hesitation and, again, this was something very worth visiting.
Hassle free tours organised our return transport from Istanbul and also private Gallipoli and Troy tours for a party of six. The pre-trip communications and arrangements were perfect and we received regular updates prior to our trip. Our tour guide for both was Ercan who guided us around the Gallipoli North and South peninsula battlefields and cemeteries. This was a full day trip departing at 8.30am and arriving back at our hotel around 6.30pm. Day 2 we visited Troy for half a day before departing back to Istanbul. We could have not asked for a more knowledgeable person. Ercan was happy to talk to us one to one or as a group. There is so much to cover but Ercan was incredibly helpful and very patient with us. There is simply no way to cover the amount of places we visited without staying much longer. There is a long list of places on Hassle free tours that we visited but they can modify it to suit individual requests. We were equally amazed on day 2 with Ercan's coverage of Troy which we added as a bonus as it is so close to Gallipoli. He is really a special tour guide so if you are looking to visit Gallipoli I would urge you to use Hassle free travel but also make a request for Ercan (you will need to be lucky as he will be booked up!!) - thanks again for a memorable and emotional trip
We were fortunate to be the sole participants,(2 adults, 2 young adults), of this tour when we embarked. From the pick up to return to hotel, we were extremely happy with the service provided by the tour guide drivers and the extensive knowledge from Ercan, our tour guide. Ercans' knowledge of the areas we visited was extensive without being over detailed or boring, very factual. Lunch was included on our first day at the Maydos restaurant where were greeted pleasantly and treated to a delicious 3 course meal. Transfer by ferry to Cannakkalie and overnight at the 4/5 star Kolin motel before our journey to Troia was enjoyable. The Kolin motel had well appointed spacious rooms, dinner and bfast included. For the amount of great history in Gallipoli and Troy, Ercan, our tour guide was able to condense facts suitable to the time limitations. Highly recommend. Ercan and No hassle tours
We were a group of 4 travelling together, This tour was brilliant from picking us up in Istanbul to dropping us back, the company is family run and so helpful, especially when our payment wouldn’t go through, There we’re lots of highlights and Gallipolli was outstanding, our tour guide knew every inch of the area, we were not rushed and spent as long as needed at each place, Thankyou to all the staff, they were brilliant.
Take this tour for a fun weekend from Istanbul. The tour includes a ferry ride which is a great experience!
This was a fun tour! Getting to see the battlefield and surrounding area was amazing. Troy was an interesting place and so much history!
