A guided tour on a bike is the best way to get to know a city. Our tour shows the famous Old Town as well as other exciting parts of Heidelberg. The relaxed pace allows us to be right at the heart of things while we don't have to compromise on range and get to know the lesser known parts of Heidelberg, too.

This is where our tour starts with an introduction. You will learn more about the itinerary, the bikes. safety instructions and the vicinity.
Enjoy the "Heidelberger Neckarwiese", a beautiful park on the riverbank and learn more about the surrounding neighbourhoods.
After a brief stop at the riverbank a bit further up the stream, we cross over to the Old Town via the Old Bridge.
Our route leads us through the Old Town where we will have several small stops. You will learn more about the churches, their history and about modern life in this neighbourhood.
We will pass the "Bergfriedhof", the beautiful mountain cemetery, where many important people are buried.
As a contrast to the Old Town, the newest district called "Bahnstadt" or Train City shows the modern Heidelberg

We really enjoyed our bike ride. The starting point was a bit difficult to find because it is not in the old part of the city but Google maps will take you there. Felix is a driven and very experienced enthusiastic guide. We've been on a fascinating trip with him.
Great value bike tour. Felt safe and comfortable riding through the city. Felix is really knowledgeable, willing to share and answered patiently many of the questions that we have. He even took a detour and spent extra time to show a few other extra places of interest on our way back to the shop.
My husband and I very much enjoyed our afternoon on the Romance Bike tour of Heidelberg. Our tour leader/owner of the biking company was very personable, extremely knowledgeable and a super nice guy. We biked through many parts of the city, some of which many tourists might miss. Of course we explored the beautiful old city. We are in our late 60’s and early 70’s and found the route to be almost entirely flat and easy to ride. I highly recommend you spend a morning or afternoon exploring lovely Heidelberg on a Romance Bike Heidelberg tour. Enjoy!

Great tour our guide was great showed us interesting corners in Heidelberg and answered all our questions. The tour was a lot of fun.
My husband and I took this tour with Nadia on a Tuesday morning, there was one other person so the tour was small and inclusive. This is a great way to see a town and learn some history, we saw both old and new, starting on the older US Army base area and then riding to Old Town, with stops and discussions, Nadia had great stories and insights, we did go back on her recommendation and enjoyed a great meal at Vetter in Old Town. The bike is a comfortable cruiser style and you cover and learn so much it a few hours, great activity, add it to your itinerary!!
Felix is a very friendly guide. He told us about Heidelberg's urban design and history. The bike tour through the new and old town led away from road traffic through beautiful, nature-oriented bike paths. The location is just outside, but you don't need to be put off by it. Even for non-athletes well done.
