Description

It takes only two and a half hours to get there from the centre of Osaka. Kinosaki has been famous for its onsen for over 1,000 years. Japanese people enjoy soto-yu, which involves experiencing several different onsens without staying at a hotel. We are also going on a trip to Ankokuji, which is famous for the view from the temple window. On the second day, we will visit another temple and have soba at a Kawadoko restaurant located beside the river. The area stays cool even in summer due to the air and water from the mountains. This tour is completely different from others. You can relax and experience the real Japan.

Would highly recommend it for anyone who wants a very authentic experience

We had such a great time! We met Junko in Osaka and drove to Kinosaki area where they had a lovely Inn with a great Onsen inside. Then we went for a tasting of local Japanese food; we loved it. In the afternoon, we went to Kinosaki, a very picturesque town, to enjoy more Onsens, and back to the Inn, where we enjoyed local dishes and sake as well. The day after we visited, Choraku-Ji, one of the best Buddhist Temples we saw in Japan, a real hidden gem I would say. And then from there, we took the train to go to Kyoto. Thank you so much to Junko and her husband hero for their hospitality!
