You will explore the essence of this magical Kingdom with a private expert guide and discover happiness amidst stunning landscapes and majestic eastern Himalayan Mountain ranges and pristine natural environment that made Bhutan the only carbon-negative country in the world. Important Information
- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- This tour can be customized and run on a private basis just for you and your group.
- We highly recommend booking at least a few months before the departure date so that we have enough time to ensure the flights are available. If you already have flight tickets to and from Bhutan, we can take bookings up to a week before the departure date. To process visa, it only takes 4-5 business days.
- There are only two airlines that connect Bhutan with the outside world and so securing air tickets can be difficult especially during the months of high season. We recommend you book your international flights a few months in advance especially if you plan to visit during the high season months of March to May and September to November. If you need help in arranging flights to/from Bhutan, please let us know much in advance.
- After you book the tour, kindly send us clear passports copies of all the participants. A biodata page including the machine-readable zone must be seen clearly. Passports should have a minimum of 6 MONTHS validity from the day you depart from Bhutan. You may also want to check the passport requirements by your next destination country after Bhutan. A copy of your e-Visa will be emailed to you once it is approved. It only takes 4-5 business days to get visa approval and it is 100 percent guaranteed as long as we receive clear passport copies of all the participants. The actual visa will be stamped on your passport upon arrival. Send the passport copies to the Local Supplier E-mail address
- Participants below the age of 18 years old MUST be accompanied by at least one full-paying adult.

Acorn Bhutan planned a tour for my husband and me in April, 2026. It was wonderful! Very personalized and well planned. Sonam, our guide, was superb. Knowledgeable, attentive, fun. And, we couldn’t have had a better driver than Nidup. Until you see the roads it’s hard to explain how important that is! We saw some amazing sites and had some great hikes. Acorn Bhutan is highly recommended, and especially Sonam and Nidup. Thank you so much for such a wonderful, amazing visit to your stunning country.
Our 10-day journey with Bhutan Acorn Tours and Travel was perfectly organized from start to finish. The tour was incredibly diverse: In addition to the classic sights and beautiful temples with detailed explanations, we undertook breathtaking hikes in nature with birdwatching. We were also spoiled with excellent local cuisine. The hotel selection was first-class – we received the best-located rooms with the most beautiful views everywhere. A huge thank you goes to our guide Norbu. He was extremely helpful and explained everything to us in detail. What was particularly great was that he also explained a lot to us off the regular itinerary and typical sights and was very open-minded. As a result, we gained deep, authentic insights into the real life and culture of the country. Anyone looking for an unforgettable and smooth trip to Bhutan is in the best hands with this team!
Karma was easy to work with to tailor our trip and his communication was always prompt and professional. This gave confidence that everything would be delivered as expected. All my expectations of the tour were exceeded. Our guide Pema was delightful and helpful and very knowledgeable. Our driver Dorji was always kind, safe and reliable. This was an outstanding tour and I would highly recommend Bhutan Acorn Tours to anyone wanting to travel to the beautiful Bhutan.
I spent 10 nights in Bhutan with Bhutan Acorn's Mr Tashi and Mr Gyeltshen. I don't have anything negative to say. They were friendly, polite, professional, hospitable and flexible. All people from Bhutan Acorn I've been in touch with, via email and WhatsApp, were also prompt and helpful. They arranged a comfortable vehicle. Most accommodation choices were great, with highlights in Thimphu, Phobjikha and Bumthang. I felt like a King on a Grand Tour. Mr Tashi is always upbeat and had no issues with accommodating my sometimes strange needs, including getting up unreasonably early for hikes, or arriving at the day's destination early for me to explore the town on my own. Mr Tashi possesses the mysterious talent of securing the best table, with the best view, at every restaurant. Mr Gyeltshen is an excellent driver, patient and responsible too, which is what you want on Bhutan's mountainous roads. The only problem with Bhutan is that the Bhutan experience sets the hospitality bar so high, that many other countries disappoint... Can wholeheartedly recommend Bhutan Acorn and will do a trip with them again, to eastern Bhutan.
Bhutan was on my Bucket List - Nobu and Nedup from Bhutan Acorn made my stay absolutely perfect and memorable. I am used to travelling alone but since this is not possible for Bhutan, I had to hire an agency - wanting a more local and authentic experience (comparing to joining tours operated from Hong Kong) I trusted my trip with Bhutan Acorn. It was a decision well made and I have not regretted my choice for a second. From early communication with the agency (they are very responsive in whatsapp) to planning my own schedule (yes you can tailor make), to the actual travel experience, everything is very well organized and taken care of. The food, accommodation, transport (ie ur own car), and the daily schedule are all very decent so I could just relax and enjoy every second without worrying about a single thing. Being a solo female traveller, I felt incredibly safe and comfortable during my stay in Bhutan. Nobu (my guide) and Nedup (my driver) constantly went out of their way to make sure that i felt comfortable (and happy - they always asked me whether im happy) and for that im eternally grateful. Thank you for sharing with me your lives, your culture, your knowledge, as well as your open heart and mind. Thank you for treating me as a friend. :)
Excellent trip from start to finish, It was over to quick. Our guide Pema was very Knowledgable on all aspects. Our driver Nidup was drove very safely, They both were very kind and helpful throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed everything including ther sense of humour. I recommend Bhutan Acorn Tours.
I had a wonderful experience on my trip to Bhutan. Bhutan Acorn Tours were incredible right from my first inquiries and answered all my queries promptly. My female guide Tshering and driver, Dema were extremely knowledgeable, kind and attentive. The hotels I stayed in were great and all the ( plentiful) food was delicious. It was one of the best holidays of my life and I would n't hesitate to recommend them. It was fantastic to have everything arranged for me and not to have to worry about finding transport, somewhere to stay or eat. I particularly liked that the company is Bhutanese and obviously had the best knowledge of their own country.
Amazing experience with local Bhutanese tour company. They arranged everything in great DETAIL ANDF WITHOUT SURPRISES. my Guide and Driver were excellent, keeping me guided forward, safe, and well informed. I miss them as friends!
I had the most amazing time while visiting Bhutan with Acorn. My guide, Lobzang, and my driver, Tshering, were the kindest, friendliest, most welcoming, and nicest human beings. They made my trip truly special, and I feel grateful and happy to have met them and to have explored this beautiful country with them. Our days were filled with joy, laughter, beautiful landscapes, nature, hikes, history, spirituality, culture, fun facts, and amazing Bhutanese cuisine. I loved every moment of my journey. Lobzang was super knowledgeable and always shared his genuine passion for Bhutan in a very attentive and meaningful manner. He brought every place we visited to life and ensured I was well prepared for our Tiger's Nest hike. Tshering always made sure we got everywhere safely. His driving skills were outstanding on even the most winding roads and he was super attentive and kind. Both Lobzang and Tshering always took proper care to ensure everything ran smoothly. This has been one of the best trips of my life, and they played a big part in that!
This trip was absolutely Incredible! We did the 10 day essence tour with my brother and Bhutan acorn teams made it a seamless and wonderful experience. The preparation and planning of the tour was very clear and detailed, with a very helpful team to support us. Our guide Pema and our driver Sonam were the best duo for this wonderful tour! We discovered all the wonderful treasures of this beautiful country and well preserved culture thanks to them! They made this experience memorable and great fun. Always attending to our needs, being able to see six districts in a very carefree manner with such a great driver, and gaining so much wisdom with Pema as our guide. The quality of service in Bhutan was excellent. What a great opportunity to travel, discover a new culture and be able to give back responsibly through the SDF.
